Hi @AvantiWestCoast just to say Ziyad really looked after us today on the 18:10 Euston to Wolverhampton. He had a few things to juggle but he made sure we had a great journey. You have a great member of staff there.
So so sorry and shocked to hear this terribly sad news. I first met @WaseemZaffar in 2013 and his sense of humour and pride in his community will stay with me for ever. May God bring healing to the hearts of all his family and friends.
With great sadness, and with a heavy heart, and by the decree of Allah swt, we announce the passing away of the @WaseemZaffar, in Islamabad, Pakistan. May Allah SWT grant him the highest rank in Jannah, Ameen.

Yesterday’s @Birmingham_Live interview with @brumlableader confirms the costly impact of their delays which we've been warning about in resolving Equal Pay.
At Full Council in October 2023, the Labour Administration were dragged kicking and screaming by statutory officers.....

Lots of you humans seem to be trying this AI action figure in a box trend, so I thought I’d give it a go too.

As part of our plan to end the strike and clean up Birmingham, we are calling on the Labour administration to put aside their egos and ask neighbouring Councils for help clearing the rats and rubbish off our streets to protect residents from the growing public health emergency.

It's clear the Labour Council's consultation on the future of libraries is deeply flawed and appears to be carried out in bad faith with a view to closing libraries. They should scrap the consultation and their plan to close libraries now 👇
Public life is always difficult, and right now public life is difficult. I think @brigidjones has done the right thing here though, and I really do wish her well in future. Now isn't it time for @BrumLeader Cllr Cotton to seriously think about whether he should be joining her?

Conservative deputy leader @ewan_mackey said MailOnline raised 'very serious questions', adding that 'Labour should publish the audit reports in full, along with any other investigation, as well as answering the discrepancies highlighted'.

NEW: A motion by Birmingham Conservatives forcing the city council to provide regular updates on the ongoing financial crisis has passed full council.
Cllr Alden said: “…they can no longer hide from scrutiny, no longer run from being held accountable.”

Hardly any members of the Labour group have remained in the chamber to hear their London imposed leader deliver his vision for the future of Birmingham. Hardly a ringing endorsement and show of support.
Thank you to @TheDanielBaird1 @lynnebaird8 @Zoebish1 @russladywood and many many others for your hard work making all this possible.

Shameful behaviour from @BrumLabour Cllrs. Laughing throughout @ewan_mackey speech in which he highlighted the poor standards of housing in Birmingham. Blaming the govt, as per usual. @BrumLeader Ian Ward needs to remove Cllr Sharon Thompson!! @Elaina54236745 #BCCLive

.@ewan_mackey I have said it for months, the biggest rogue landlord in Birmingham, is @BhamCityCouncil
Cllr Sharon Thompson and @brigidjones want to get out and become MP’s. @ShabanaMahmood MP calls out Reliance, but she hasn’t said a word about @BhamCityCouncil #BCCLive
