as a creator who has been in the space for a long time, i want to encourage people to stop being so paranoid of other creators. just because a partner is lurking in your stream before they go live, this does NOT mean they are using you to farm a shoutout. maybe they just enjoy your streams and only have time to watch a bit before they go live.
posting things like this publicly only discourages other creators from engaging with you. the average chatter is not going to think twice about someone with a checkmark lurking in your stream. you are the only one giving that so much thought and attention. we need to be more positive and supportive of each other. stop thinking every other streamer is out to get you or use you.

Hard pill to swallow but the reason there's so much high school drama and gossip bs in the vtuber scene is a LARGE portion of vtubers are so boring they try and make themselves seem interesting with gossip or making things up about others.
90% of gossip has zero evidence, 90% of someone's issue with someone else is something they heard, and not something they experienced, most of it is just straight up lies lmao.
Truly for your own sanity, don't believe a word anyone says without irrefutable proof, and the sad part is sometimes even "proof" can be out of context, or just straight up fabricated. Don't listen to anyone about anyone else, judge people for yourself, stay safe. ๐ฉต
The content creation world frustrates me more than any other professional domain. High school mentality is prevalent in all worlds, but it feels so much worse in vtubing.
People are so careless, heartless, thoughtless, so eager to take, take, and take without ever thinking of giving back or sparing a thought for those they've hurt or stepped on to get to where they are
