As a veteran, I'm furious he told those poisoned by Camp Lejeune's water they'd only get help IF REPUBLICANS WIN. This rotten son of a bitch sees veterans (or anyone else for that matter) as tools to manipulate. I know, thatโ€™s not news. Weโ€™ve known this. But..that makes it no less disgusting or disturbing. VOTE.

As chilling & horrifying as the brutal & violent attack on Dr Haines was, I am beginning to think that it may have had absolutely nothing to do with Politics, terrorism or Dr Haines personally. It just seems like a 'perfect storm' & opportunistic attack, presented to an addled brain, spotting a soft Target , but needing to harm something & spend his rage, to vent.๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ™ Watching the bone-chillingly horrific vision on TV News, I was reminded of the mentally disturbed, knife wielding man, who rampaged thru Bondi Junction mall, (killing several )looking for 'soft, unaware Targets, yet wen a burly (un-armed) male, confronted him, he turned on his heel & ran in the opposite direction. The circumstances seem not unlike this fellow, who was detained by the gallantry of the Barber, (who was unarmed), but brave & had presence of mind, plus determined to protect his neighbour. It also reminds me of the brave soul who disarmed the gunman at Bondi Beach.๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ™ It underlines the old Maxim; For Evil to succeed, Good People should do nothing! My sincere best wishes to Dr Haines& family๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ

I am confident in saying this, there is not a single leader of any nation that actually respects Trump. A few may fear the power of the US, but that isn't respect. Others, like Netanyahu & Putin, play him like a fiddle, that isn't respect. America's allies are disgusted by his antics, that isn't respect. All, see his stupidity, corruption & willful ignorance, perfectly called out by Mark Carney. There is no respect, don't fool yourselves MAGA, the world is shaking its head, or laughing at you & your worthless buffoon of a leader.

Those countries have universal healthcare. 32 of 33 developed countries provide medical care to all citizens. The US doesn't. We have for-profit healthcare. 150K people go bankrupt each year because of medical debt. Many donโ€™t seek care because of copays and deductibles.

It was a ridiculous decision, Sally, and I remain horrified and appalled.
There seems to be some confusion amongst some people, so I will explain it as clearly as I can: Australiaโ€™s sex discrimination act was created for women, on the basis of our sex. When it was enacted in 1984 (ominous year, in hindsight) employment was a big part of it. There was a part of the act, section 7D, that allowed โ€œspecial measuresโ€ where things exclusively for women werenโ€™t even classed as discrimination, basically when it was being a woman is what actually mattered in the situation. Specific employment/opportunity provisions andโ€ฆ woman-only spaces fell/fall into this category. In 2013, the Gillard amendments introduced โ€œgender identityโ€ while taking the definitions of woman & man out of the act. Sex was never defined, but in a normal world it didnโ€™t have to be. It could only have meant one thing (a mistake, again in hindsight). By the time the trans absurdity hit fever pitch, Australian institutions were captured. This included those meant to be the custodians of the SDA. Suddenly, all they cared about was โ€œgender identityโ€ aka transgender ideology. When the Tickle v Giggle case came along, it started with an Australian Human Rights Commission complaint. To settle it, aka not have it advance to federal court, I was expected to just agree with transgender ideology. I donโ€™t. I wish I could say I completely understood the magnitude at the time, but itโ€™s almost impossible to. You think you do, but you donโ€™t really until it hits you like a bus. But what I did know, instinctively, was that if I folded, I couldnโ€™t live with it, nor would it help because all it signaled was that โ€œweโ€ would just accept it if threatened. I found myself in a position to challenge the absurdity, and I did, because I knew not doing it would have been worse no matter what. Obviously, everyone knows now, the courts ruled against me in every way they could. From what a woman is, to 7D, to damages. I lost - and have lost - everything. But what does it mean to everyone else in reality? It means the sex discrimination commissioner told the court that the ordinary meaning of woman includes men who claim to be women, and the court accepted that. Men who claim to be women are women in Australia, via the only legislation they have to validate it. It means that for every aspect of the SDA, per the SDCโ€™s demand, woman includes men who claim to be women. From employment to women only spaces to pregnancy protections, because of section 7D. Did we warn about this in our court submissions and arguments? Yes. That was actually our entire case. You can read it. Itโ€™s all publicly available. The high court said that we would have no possibility of success. We were arguing that women is adult human female and this matters in, tada, section 7D. That was it. The high court said โ€œhell no wayโ€. The high court is captured too. As it stands, due to legal precedent, a special measure for women based on sex does not provide a defense to gender identity discrimination. That means that all special measures for women fall to gender identity, which will only be used by men who claim to be women, and includes - tada - employment, and women only spaces. It means that men who claim to be women have more rights than actual women, while simultaneously taking away our rights. I donโ€™t know how many more times I could say the โ€œTickle v Giggleโ€ case is about more than โ€œjustโ€ one app, Iโ€™ve been saying it for almost 5 years, but I will continue to do it until everyone understands. They wiped womenโ€™s rights off the map. Itโ€™s a fโ€”ing mess. It doesnโ€™t work. Itโ€™s incoherent. Itโ€™s ideological. It writes women out of law. Itโ€™s corruption. Itโ€™s totalitarian. Itโ€™s bullsh-t. Itโ€™s the test of any government: are you ok with legislating a lie?

Why the Irish rape crisis centre consent ad is a failure - The majority of sexual abuse of children is perpetrated by family members & close family friends. 94% of those abusers are male. Thatโ€™s, male. Despite being fully aware of this, the DRCC chose to use an elderly woman as an example of a predator. This is dishonest, misleading, misogynist & distracts from the reality of who the predators are - it also infuriated people who know that overwhelmingly itโ€™s not not the granny. Itโ€™s predatory men. Fathers. Stepfathers. Uncles. Brothers. Male Cousins. Male Friends. So why did the rape crisis centre use an elderly woman as a signifier of sexual predation?

The way we are going, massive corporations are going to be the only ones left! The country can only rely on so much personal taxes and GST for so long. We donโ€™t have a manufacturing sector anymore. AI is taking over those positions anyway. We need to stop the AI boom! Not hold hands with it.
While we get taxed the big corporations pay no company taxes.

Cheers, My accident was years ago, all good, but hers wasn't an accident. That's the worst thing. That's what's got me upset. I don't know her, she's a politician but it doesn't mean it doesn't make me upset. I don't know why people are so bloody disgustingly bad sometimes.

Wow.
FOX is letting him loose! Peter did not cut him off, he didnโ€™t go to a commercial, nor interrupted or challenge him. Maybe FOX really wanted Trump to hear how incompetent he is!!

I feel absolutely heartbroken for Helen Haines, having read the confirmation from her husband that she has lost both her legs. Life can be so terribly cruel at times. And news like this puts so much of the everyday bitching & moaning into perspective. My heart goes out to Helen, her husband & their family. I cannot begin to imagine what they are going through.

We donโ€™t tip in NZ. We make sure businesses pay their workerโ€™s properly via a minimum wage. Tipping is archaic. US businesses - pay your workers properly.
