POV: first date. She orders everything on the menu. The bill lands. You panic. "Do you guys… do cashback?" "We do better." 1 in 100, the whole dinner comes back. Paid in seconds, on @solana. Cashback is dead. 🪦 Our pitch for @colosseum's Crypto World's Fair 🎬👇

A 2% cashback card spends 2% of every purchase on rewards. With Fade, the issuer decides what that 2% feels like. It can give 1 purchase in 5 a 10% discount, so cardholders win often. Or it can give 1 purchase in 50 the whole purchase back, which happens less often but is the kind of win people tell their friends about. Both cost about the same on average. The issuer sets the odds and can change them at any time, and our shared vault on @solana pays every win.

Stablecoins moved $482B in payments between January and September, 45% more than a year earlier. Payments went on-chain. Rewards are next. The odds are public before you pay, the draw happens on-chain, and if you win, the money is in your wallet a few seconds later. We're building Fade so any card, wallet or app on @solana can plug that in.

Need your help with something We keep going back and forth on the line that explains Fade A: The reward layer for stablecoin payments B: Fade turns cashback into free purchases A sounds like infra and explains what Fade is, B sounds like an end-user use case. Which do you prefer? You've got a better one? drop it in the replies! Live poll @hackerhouses :)

Quick math for card issuers. 2% cashback on a $50 dinner is $1. Your cardholder won't even notice it. Put that 2% into Fade instead: 1 purchase in 10 gets 10% back, 1 in 100 gets the whole dinner back. It costs you about the same. Nobody talks about getting $1 back. Everybody talks about the free dinner. You pick the odds, the shared vault absorbs the variance, and wins land in seconds on @solana.

Cashback might be the most forgettable $16.6B in finance. That's what US cashback credit cards paid out in 2024, a few cents at a time. None of us could tell you the last cashback we got. With Fade, the same budget is split differently: a real discount fairly often, and every now and then the whole purchase back. We're building it on @solana, for stablecoin payments.

Yesterday's pitch roast at the @hackerhouses London with @SuperteamUK: the best feedback we've had so far. We walked out with a sharper one-liner, a clearer go-to-market and a pitch that gets to the point faster. Next stop: @solana Breakpoint.
Only Day 2 at @hackerhouses with @0xEspada1 and already so many insights for @fade_labs Pitch Roast challenge: convince the room that cashback is dead, and Fade is building what comes next Huge thanks to @viewfromhk and @1MrHarding for the valuable feedback! Great conversations with giga brains like @readylayerone and @d3h3d_ One thing is already crystal clear: this Hacker House is going to turbocharge Fade!

People underrate how big the rewards budget on these cards is getting. 1% of this chart is $1.4M every month
JUST IN: $141M spent on stablecoin cards on Solana in October, up 7x year on year. New ATH.

What we heard on day one at the Solana Hacker House London: Cashback is everywhere, and nobody gets excited about it. Every team wants rewards users actually talk about. That's the gap Fade fills. Back tomorrow for more. @SuperteamUK

Binance's initial investigation suggests that the security incident may involve a compromised DevOps engineer’s laptop, which allowed an attacker to gain access to a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions. We have found no evidence of any wallet private key leak. We will share a detailed technical post-mortem once the investigation is complete and the facts are fully verified. The estimated total impact sits at around $6.3B. We have worked with blockchain partners to freeze affected assets, with ~$3 billion frozen on-chain so far. Binance will cover all losses from the SAFU fund and the company’s funds. User funds are safe. We will also publish an updated Proof of Reserves once the remediation is complete. As an immediate precaution, Binance has: - temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals while security checks are completed; - revoked the affected address authorisation; - engaged law enforcement and blockchain intelligence partners to trace and recover funds. Our teams are working around the clock to resolve this issue safely and thoroughly. We are working closely with our law enforcement partners to confirm the identity of these criminals and bring them to justice. Please rely only on official Binance channels for updates. Please feel free to contact Binance Customer Support if you have any further questions. binance.com/en/support/annou…

Merchants already give whole orders away, because it works. A checkout that offered "a 1 in 10 chance to win your basket instead of 10% off" saw conversion up 15% and baskets up 25%, in one published case. A Shopify app rolls a die after payment for a free order. Card issuers spin a wheel on every purchase. Each of them pays for its free orders out of its own budget. With Fade, the merchant offers the free order and Fade pays it out. A fixed cost per order, odds public before checkout.

Your $40 order. On us. Not 60 cents back. The whole thing. TOTAL 0.00. With Fade, any card, wallet or app on @solana can give every purchase a shot at coming back free, funded by the rewards budget it already spends on cashback. Paid out in seconds, with odds anyone can check. Cashback is a rounding error. A free order is a story you tell. Would you trade your cashback for a shot at the whole order?

Ten cents is now enough to win back a purchase. A random draw costs about 0.11 USD on its own, so small tickets never made sense: the draw ate the margin. Fade now shares one draw across a round of small tickets. Each ticket still gets its own outcome, odds published before the draw, and its full payout reserved in the vault the moment it joins. A 0.10 USDC ticket, settled in about 15 seconds. Round-ups and small swaps can now carry a chance at the whole amount. Try "Small ticket" in the app.
