Yeah I’m starting to realize and I also just think cuz a lot of viewers are young they just don’t understand how these endings work and how beautiful they can actually be. But it’s fine! We don’t actually know what the ending will be. If it does happen to be happy then I’ll be okay with it as long as it’s done right. And I mean where it’s not them losing their balls and only doing it cuz that’s what the fans want. The fans are not always right !! But yeah, I’m okay with a happy ending but I’m not getting my hopes for it and I hope they really do stick to their guns and keep the bittersweet ending.

I’m sorry but I don’t see how any of this is concerns what I’m talking about. We can agree to disagree, cuz I don’t wanna keep repeating myself on what we’re discussing. I understand if that ending isn’t fulfilling for you but I just don’t see it that way.

Sorry I’m having a little trouble understanding what you mean. I am talking about the philosophical message. Him being reduced to second is kind of crazy, cuz going back in time to save everyone is inherently selfish because of his rules. Because it’s a known taboo. Everything has to have balance. And I’m not saying it’s selfish as a bad thing, he would do what any of us would have done. The crazy thing about it is that lg seemed to be someone who would be exempt from that rule because of how strict he’s shown to have been. It’s why s2 reveal of him having dived was so mind blowing. He broke the rules. And yeah those are rules he put in place for his own reasons but they are also facts about life. Which is what I meant by ‘don’t look to the past’ you can’t move on if you do. Don’t ask about the future cuz worrying about doesn’t help and the future is always changing. Live in the present. In most stories yeah lg sacrificing or leaving would be a mid ending but lc the story is different. This story IS about that though. From the very first episode this show is teaching us about how important memories are. It’s a photo studio for crying out loud. What is the best way to preserve memories? Through photos. The earthquake episode when cxs asked lg why was it okay to say the words even when everyone was going to die anyway. It wasn’t for the ppl who died. The whole reason we have funerals isn’t for the dead it’s for the living. To help us grieve, to help us move on. We take photos so we have a chance to look back on what was, but ultimately we do need to move forward. My theory is IF lg did die early on, he wasn’t supposed to be there and he dived and the way to fix it is for him to disappear or die, then I apply that same thinking. They all live in a photo studio, they will live with the memories. Lg may not have had forever with them but he did have something more than what most get sometimes. Regardless if he’s had to hide or conceal his feelings he still got to experience laughter, smiles, and moments with these ppl. I’ve been depressed my whole life, I’ve experienced so much trauma in my life but that doesn’t mean I haven’t experienced joy or been lucky enough to find amazing friends and find the love of my life. If I died tomorrow I would be happy to know that I got to love someone who loved me for once. That I got to meet my friends. I got privileged with a lot despite my upbringing and despite my trauma. Anyone like lg would want to stay, but he isn’t the kind of person to want it at the expense of his friends lives and others as well. It’s why an ending like that would work in his case.

its gotten worse with my dad cheating on her. like i have empathy for her, i understand a lot of things. she had a really rough upbringing as well, but i feel trapped half the time here. it gets down right scary how she can be, and shes abused me all my life so having those issues about the way she treated me and still trying to help her is a big conflict i have

I feel like my mom has either bipolar or BPD and no matter how many times I tell her she needs to be evaluated she doesn’t do it. But her crash outs are getting scarier. She literally held a knife to herself threatening to kill herself and it’s getting to a point.

like i know no one wants to see their fav die, but have they not heard the phrase 'kill your darlings'? like everyone says they want lc to go back to roots of being emotional and heartwrenching, lg making the hard choice and selfless choice of leaving if it means his friends live? i'm gonna be bawling my eyes out. cuz its going to hurt! but ppl would rather have a story they deem suitable to their liking and its just sad
