Today, as President and Chancellor of all State Universities, I had the distinct honour of presiding over the 5th Graduation Ceremony of Gwanda State University (GSU), hosted at our Epoch Mine Campus in Filabusi, Matabeleland South Province. This year's ceremony perfectly embodies our national vision, running under the inspiring theme: โ€œFrom academic excellence to industrial competence.โ€ In line with our Heritage-Based Education 5.0 philosophy, our institutions of higher learning must continue to shift from theory to tangible practiceโ€”producing innovators, problem solvers, and industrial leaders who build the Zimbabwe we want. To anchor this thrust, I was also pleased to officially commission two landmark facilities at the campus: โ€ข The GSU Mining Engineering Laboratory and Innovation Complex: Equipped with modern systems to revolutionize training, support local small-scale miners, and drive value-addition in our growing mining sector. โ€ข The Agro-Innovation Complex: A critical hub designed to spearhead breakthroughs in livestock management, crop production, and climate-resilient agricultural technologies for the region. Congratulations to the Class of 2026! Go out and transform your communities. Through your skills and innovation, we remain resolute that nyika inovakwa nevene vayo (a nation is built by its own people).

Today, I had the distinct honour of presiding over the Air Force of Zimbabwe (AFZ) Number 70 Pilot Training Course Wings Presentation and Commissioning Parade at the Josiah Tungamirai Air Force Base in Gweru, Midlands Province. This is a remarkable achievement and a proud moment for our newly commissioned pilots, as well as the parents and families who supported them throughout this grueling journey. While we celebrate this milestone, our hearts remain heavy as we remember the tragic loss of an Officer Cadet and an Instructor Pilot who lost their lives during training. We extend our deepest, heartfelt condolences to their families and comrades. Their ultimate sacrifice in service to our motherland will never be forgotten. In keeping with ongoing global trends, our pilot study program has been systematically upgraded to incorporate modern training methods of flying. As you step into your new roles, I urge you to fully adapt to the core values of the Air Force of Zimbabweโ€”patriotism, discipline, and unyielding loyalty. Human capital development remains a critical pillar for the attainment of Vision 2030, and investing in our defense personnel is central to this national objective. Over the years, the AFZ has demonstrated exceptional professionalism both within and outside our borders through robust Air Diplomacy. These achievements do not stand in isolation; the AFZ continues to stand strong alongside the Standing Aviation Community of SADC. Looking ahead, the nation expects the highest standards of professionalism, high values, and the fierce advancement of our national interest as our forces prepare for Exercise Runde and the upcoming Africa Aerospace and Defence expo in South Africa. The military tradition is built entirely on teamwork. I extend my profound gratitude to the Ministry of Defence, the Commander of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, the Air Force Command, and the entire training team for their unwavering support and dedication to duty. Congratulations to the newly commissioned officers!

His Excellency President @edmnangagwa urges Zimbabwe's diplomats serving in various countries to be principled and professional as they promote the country's interests abroad. The President addresses Zimbabwe's Diplomats and Heads of Missions serving abroad at a meet and greet event at the HICC in Harare. The President said it is the duty of the diplomats to uphold Zimbabwe's foreign policy, guided by the mantra Zimbabwe is a friend to all and enemy to none. He reminded the diplomats of the need to constantly engage and to avoid working in silos. The President further urged the ambassadors to identify opportunities for Zimbabweans to take up international positions to enhance the country's profile. He encouraged the diplomats to continue interacting with the Zimbabwean diaspora, to ensure that they participate fully in developmental programs at home. The President expressed his appreciation for the diplomatsโ€™ sterling efforts in Zimbabwe's successful campaign for a non-permanent seat in the UN Security Council. He also revealed that several international events were going to be hosted in Zimbabwe next year and the diplomats had a critical role to play in the build up to these events. President Mnangagwa concluded by advising the diplomats to be diplomatically sensitive but firm in pursuing the country's interests abroad.

Today, I had the pleasure of addressing Zimbabwe's Ambassadors at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC), following the successful Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Senior Management and Ambassadors' Retreat and Strategic Review Meeting. Guided by our theme, "From Strategy to Results: Advancing Zimbabwe's National Interests through Coordinated, Accountable and Results-Driven Diplomacy," my message to our diplomats was clear: serving on diplomatic missions is no childโ€™s play, and it is certainly not a holiday. My administration demands tangible, principled, and pragmatic results. Our embassies are strategic platforms tasked with fast-tracking our national development agenda through the promotion of trade, investment, and tourism. In strict liaison with relevant offices back home, our diplomats must serve as launchpads that protect Zimbabwe's national interests based on win-win benefits. While we maintain our stance that Zimbabwe is a friend to all and an enemy to none, we are also making significant diplomatic milestones. Our successful election to the UN Security Council proves that we are a respected member of the international community. Furthermore, Zimbabwe will proudly host the AfCFTA Council of Ministers in 2027. As we assume leadership roles like the COMESA Chairmanship, we must carry the collective duty of leaving no one and no place behind. Crucially, I have challenged the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to review our National Diaspora Policy. Our diplomats must show deep humanity to all Zimbabweans visiting or living near our missions. The diaspora is a vital pillar in building our country, and they deserve our utmost support. Every mission must play its part through timely reporting and strategic vigilance against emerging threats. Zimbabwe remains open for business, and global capital is safe here. As our Ambassadors return to their stations, let us remain united in our commitment to economic diplomacy and national development. #ZimbabweIsOpenForBusiness #DiplomacyForResults #LeavingNoOneBehind #NyikaInovakwaNeveneVayo

H.E. President @edmnangagwa addresses the 3rd Russia-Africa Summit plenary in Moscow. He said Zimbabwe is committed to a multipolar world based on mutual respect, fairness and equality in which countries pivot towards win-win cooperation. Acknowledging Russiaโ€™s role in the struggle for the liberation of Africa, the President said it is now time to turn the historical bond into tangibles for the people. The emphasis at the summit is on value addition and not raw exports from Africa and the President said Zimbabwe is not waiting - โ€œโ€ฆ we are moving decisively to create value for our minerals through value addition and beneficiation. And we are resolute in our pursuit of a world order built on mutual respect, equality and fairness" The President challenged Zimbabwean and Russian institutions to move from signing to implementing: โ€œThe two Governments have given this friendship political direction. It now falls to institutions... to give practical expression... Our collective efforts must benefit the economies and have a tangible impact on the daily lives of our citizens". The President proposed a joint technical working group between PSB Bank, Ministry of Finance and RBZ. The President highlighted that over 1000 Zimbabweans are studying in Russia in medicine, natural sciences, nuclear science, space fields, calling them a national investment for modernization The plenary is co-chaired by President Vladimir Putin and AU Chair, Burundian President Evariste Ndayishimiye.
