The House Judiciary Committee just put out a report on Boston and the state’s sanctuary policies. In 2026 Boston Police received 54 ICE detainers and honored none of them. Since 2021 they haven’t transferred a single foreign national criminal to ICE on a detainer.
These policies, including the Trust Act and the new PROTECT Act, keep local police from cooperating with ICE even when people have serious criminal charges. The report says that has meant people charged with crimes like sex offenses against kids, armed robbery, and drug trafficking get released back into Massachusetts communities instead of being handed over to federal custody.
Criminal aliens know they can operate with little to no consequences here according to the committee.

Court records allege she never returned a $20,000 Toyota Corolla to Budget in 2019.

Her response is to call it "a political attack disguised as a legal issue."

28-year-old Katie Suarez was brutally murdered while jogging in Brooklyn on October 30. She was on her way to meet her parents when she was stabbed in the neck, and her own father found her.
The man charged with her murder, Sayed Mohassib, had already been removed from both the NYPD and the Marines due to psychological issues, yet NYC Public Schools still hired him as a paraprofessional and put him around elementary school children.
After the attack, he went right back to that same school, where students said he was acting strangely and talking to himself. He told police he blacked out and woke up covered in blood holding the knife.
They knew about his history and still put him around children. How does this even happen? It’s truly disgusting.
