New update for my Arknights story reader: arknights.timo.beer
Stories now play much closer to the in game client with over 200 different effects being drawn:
- Effects that used to draw nothing (windbursts, trails, smoke, snow, glass shards, flame slash streaks, screen distortions, etc) now show properly from the game’s own data
- Particle effects follow Unity’s behavior more closely (noise, emitter shapes, drag, warm up, scrolling pictures, etc)
- Pictures, curtains, camera shakes, fades, and character placements use the game’s own timings and curves
- A bunch of smaller command and sound fixes so things feel more like the actual game
Also includes Release Order improvements, UI fixes, and other polish!

I made a web reader for Arknights' story, and it's open to everyone: arknights.timo.beer
Every main chapter, side story, vignette, operator record, and module, made to look as close to the game’s own reader with backgrounds, character sprites, effects, music and voices.
Stories
- around 2,900 stories and over 5 million words, from the Prologue to Episode 17 and every event, including past events like the Monster Hunter collab and then Ave Mujica Collab
- 423 operator cards with their records, modules, and voice lines
- text, sprites, camera effects, screen shakes and particle effects made to look like in game
- the cutscene videos
- artwork, sprite, and music viewers for every story, hidden by default if you haven’t read them yet
Reading order
- a story map and reading orders, including release order and a reading guide by MajorArcana01
- search across all stories
Languages
- stories in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Traditional Chinese
- the UI in 32 languages (English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, हिन्दी, Español, Français, العربية, Português, Русский, Bahasa Indonesia, Deutsch, 日本語, Türkçe, Tiếng Việt, Filipino, 한국어, فارسی, Bahasa Melayu, Italiano, ไทย, Polski, Українська, Nederlands, Română, Čeština, Magyar, Ελληνικά, Svenska, עברית, Dansk, Suomi, Norsk)
- 4 reading modes including a dyslexia friendly font
Syncing
- your progress is saved and it syncs between your phone and PC with no account
- dark and light themes, reading styles, and many config options for the reader
- works on phones and tablets too
It's an unofficial fan project, not affiliated with Hypergryph or Yostar.

You've all asked for it, so here are the current top 20 highest and lowest rated stories on my Arknights reader: arknights.timo.beer
We've jumped to 5100+ total ratings since this morning, so this should be a pretty solid representation of how the community thinks about these stories.
Just don't blame me okay 😭

I am so happy that Bernie Sanders is with us today to be able to see the fruits of his labor. He cultivated a whole generation of young leaders through the movement he spawned who are now winning seats everywhere. And he gets to live to witness it. Thank you, Bernie.

Keisha Lance Bottoms is the great-great-granddaughter of an enslaved man named Sheppard Peek.
She will soon live in the Georgia Governor’s Mansion, mere miles from where he was enslaved, as the first-ever Black woman elected Governor.
