I had the pleasure of welcoming Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi to the European Parliament (together with @SebastianMEP) for a meeting with Members of the ECR Group. I was pleased to see the interest his return drew among colleagues.
For many Iranians, the Crown Prince represents hope that their country can finally turn a page. I respect his determination to bring Iranians together around a future in which they can live freely and build their lives at home. The Islamic Republic has already taken far too much from generations of Iranians. Europe should stop assuming that the country must remain in the hands of its present rulers.
Europe’s own security is also at stake. The regime’s threats against dissidents on our soil demand a firm response. Alongside confronting those threats, European governments should engage seriously with those working for a free Iran.
That engagement should include both political support for the democratic opposition and practical help for Iranians to overcome the regime’s information blockade and access a free internet.
Iran has an extraordinary history and enormous potential. A free Iran would offer its people new opportunities and Europe the prospect of a partner with whom we could trade and cooperate in peace.
That is why I invited the Crown Prince. I want Europe to be ready for that future and willing to help bring it closer. Today’s meetings gave me greater confidence that more colleagues share that ambition.
It is time to free Iran from the yoke of political Islam.

Today was incredibly emotional and remarkable day at the European Parliament.
I had the absolute honour of co-hosting (with Charlie Weimers) an event with Crown Prince of Iran, Reza Pahlavi.
After so many months and years of suffering of the Iranian people, today we finally managed to hear the true voice of Iranians and the greatest counterforce to the IRGC, the Crown prince himself.
The core message of Reza Pahlavi cannot be overemphasized: The Iranian people are not the IRGC. They are victims of that regime.
The Iranian people have shown extraordinary courage. They have been willing to risk and give their lives for freedom.
Yet, the executions continue.
I’m completely devastated to hear that just this morning, two more people were executed in Iran.
The IRGC’s ambitions do not stop at Iran’s borders. Exporting its ideology, spreading terror and targeting people in countries across the world are central to its mission.
That is precisely why Europe needs to stop pretending this is someone else’s problem.
The US and Israel have done great job. Europe needs to step up also.
We need stronger sanctions against the regime but there is one essential place to start:
No engagement with the IRGC. That should be the bare minimum.
The Iranian people are not asking to fight their fight for them but to not stand in the way and not to abandon them.

I'm Iranian.
Pahlavi is my king.
Today in Brussels, I met with General Christophe Gomart, Vice-Chair of the European Parliament’s Committee on Security and Defence.
I thanked him for his steadfast support for the Iranian people’s struggle against the Islamic Republic, and for his deep respect for Iran’s civilization.
We discussed practical means of support, including keeping Iranians connected to the internet. I welcome his commitment to working with us to advance the Iranian people’s cause at the European level.

ELON MUSK: WHO IS SILENCING IRAN'S DISSIDENTS ON X?
Will you help me amplify this and get Justice for all those on X who oppose the Islamic Regime and protect Israel's right to be?
@elonmusk, a question about free speech in Iran.
The ayatollahs imprison dissidents. Are hostile networks now exploiting X's reporting system to silence them online?
Iranian opposition and pro-Israel accounts are under attack!
X bans coordinated false reporting.
Will you investigate?

Iranian opposition voices are being systematically targeted on this platform. Accounts belonging to Iranians who stand against the Islamic Republic are facing mass reporting, restrictions, and suspensions, often without any clear explanation.
This is not just about losing social media accounts. For many Iranians, X is one of the few remaining ways to expose the crimes of the Islamic Republic, share information with the outside world, document the regime's brutality, and make sure the voices of our people are heard.
The Islamic Republic has spent decades trying to silence Iranians. Its supporters should not be allowed to use coordinated reporting campaigns to achieve the same thing on a platform that claims to stand for free speech.
We are asking the X team to take this situation seriously:
Investigate coordinated mass-reporting campaigns targeting Iranian opposition accounts.
Review wrongful suspensions and restrictions imposed on Iranian users.
Ensure that reporting systems cannot be weaponized to silence people for their political views.
Protect the ability of Iranians to speak freely and expose the Islamic Republic without being driven off this platform.
We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking for fairness, consistency, and the freedom to speak.
Do not let the Islamic Republic export its censorship to X. Our voices matter, and we will not be silenced.

My brave fellow Iranians,
The Islamic Republic is weaker and more fragmented than ever. It is not the same regime that ruled Iran a year ago. Its missing leader and senior officials are afraid of the Iranian people. They know that a nationwide uprising can bring their rule to an end.
This criminal regime and its Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) have dragged our country into war and put Iran’s future at risk. The IRGC controls much of the country, steals its wealth, and is responsible for much of the economic crisis and insecurity we face today.
They have left our people without enough food, without security, and without hope for the future. They are willing to destroy Iran to stay in power.
Our country has already suffered too much. We cannot allow more destruction. We must stand together and do everything we can to save Iran.
We have a clear plan to end the Islamic Republic and manage the country after it falls. Our plan will maintain security and stability, protect people’s basic freedoms, and make sure their essential needs are met.
To those serving in the military, police, and security forces: stand with the people, not the regime. Join the nation when the time comes to free Iran. Those who do so will be guaranteed safety and protection from reprisals. But those who continue to support the regime and commit crimes against our people will face justice under the law.
This time, I call not only on military and government personnel, but on Iranians from every walk of life who have had enough of this regime and seek a free and prosperous future for our country. Join us. Contact my team directly through t.me/BarkhizIranBot on Telegram and sign up today for the National Cooperation Campaign to Save Iran.
Together, we can bring the Islamic Republic to an end and build a new future of freedom, peace, and prosperity for Iran.
Long live Iran

A reminder that during the January 2026 uprisings in Iran protesters in Abadan tore open bags of rice and cast them into the air. This was a deliberate, symbolic act aimed at rejecting the Islamic regime's attempt to reduce their rebellion to mere “economic grievances”.
The protests were not driven purely by inflation, food costs, or a "hunger problem”. Iranian people, struggling to be free for 47 years, used the rice toss as a powerful visual metaphor.
Their message was explicit: “Don’t feed us, FREE us.” By throwing away a staple food - when food prices were soaring - they demonstrated that their fight was not just about the price of bread but about reclaiming their fundamental freedom and human dignity.
And for this tens of thousands were massacred.
Now compare that to the riots in France 🇫🇷 where it seems Palestine will not be free until every student has a looted Louis Vuitton bag.
During the January protests in Abdanan, Iranians tore open rice bags from an IRGC store and threw the grains into the street. They took nothing. Their protest was not simply about food or poverty, but against corruption and the Islamic Republic.
In Paris, looters smashed shops and ran off with the goods.
But between these two, Iranians will be the ones who are executed.

The Islamic regime is preparing to hang Reza Zanganeh, a 27-year-old car mechanic.
They accused him of working for Mossad because he repairs foreign cars.
This is what they do. They pick someone, link them to Israel, and hang them.
Share his name before they kill him.

An honour for Deputy Leader @MelissaLantsman and I to welcome Crown Prince @PahlaviReza to Canada to rally for freedom and against terrorism.
We discussed the need to kick IRGC terror agents out of Canada and sanction the illegitimate terror regime in Tehran, which has murdered dozens of Canadian citizens and thousands of its own people.
Thank you, Crown Prince, for fighting for the freedom of your people.

Recent reports by Western media outlets, including the BBC, CNN, Financial Times (FT), and the Guardian regarding the Islamic Republic’s state ceremonies represent a profound failure of journalistic integrity. By echoing regime narratives, these outlets repeat a dark historical pattern: acting as megaphones for totalitarian propaganda while ignoring state-sponsored atrocities.
In The Gulag Archipelago, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn documented how Western journalists visited the Soviet Union and repeated Soviet propaganda as reality, completely omitting daily deaths and torture.
Often this is the natural, toxic byproduct of access journalism. Seduced by the professional prestige of “reporting from inside,” these journalists accept a devil's bargain. Their access is tightly controlled and weaponized by the Islamic Republic, permitted only so long as they echo state narratives and ignore the blood on the streets.
We must ask these self-proclaimed impartial journalists:
Did the regime allow you to cover the massive demonstrations of January 8–9, 2026, across hundreds of Iranian cities calling for the overthrow of the regime?
Could you report inside Iran on the black body bags filling the morgues, or the wounded protesters targeted in hospital beds?
Were you permitted to attend the 40th-day memorial ceremonies of the slain protesters?
Whitewashing state spectacles while ignoring ongoing executions and torture is not journalism; it is complicity. And sadly, it is nothing new. Iran is only the most recent, troubling case.
Malcolm Caldwell, the Scottish academic and Guardian contributor, staunchly defended the Khmer Rouge of Cambodia and dismissed reports of massacres. Writing in The Guardian to dismiss the testimonies of those escaping the Cambodian genocide, Caldwell infamously claimed: "A refugee may give an honest account as far as he knows, but it is not necessarily an accurate one."
In The Gulag Archipelago, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn documented how Western journalists visited the Soviet Union and repeated Soviet propaganda as reality, completely omitting daily deaths and torture. Walter Duranty became infamous for his defense of the USSR and whitewashing of its crimes in the New York Times.
Today, too many Western correspondents deploy the exact same cynical tactics to dismiss the raw testimonies of the Iranian people.
We call on the editorial boards of the Western media institutions to cease the dissemination of state-vetted propaganda, grant equal weight to the voices of the Iranian democratic opposition, and accurately report on the systematic human rights abuses taking place across Iran.
