5th trip to LHR and finally got the famous “follow the greens” clearance. How do they know where I’m going?!
Gonna play tourist today since we had a nice early 6:30am arrival. Tower of London maybe?
Then a pint or two and some supper with the FO and RP.
Oktoberfest themed 50th birthday party for my friend at their cottage tonight. Will be kitted out in lederhosen and dreidels with steins of German beer, jägermeister, and goulash and spaeztle. 80s themed day tomorrow!
Early arrival into YUL from LHR and managed to catch the earlier deadhead home to YYZ. All for nothing as YYZ has flow control for some unknown reason, it’s CAVOK with calm winds. 🤦🏽♂️
5 days off await then back to LHR on Tuesday.

Rainy day in London, so may as well check out some pubs in Brixton before meeting my cousin for dinner.

1) A trade deficit is not a loss
2) The deficit with Canada was $27B last year, not the $90B he keeps using
3) The deficit with Canada exists because American companies buy a lot of cheap Canadian oil
4) Uh, what
Trump: I do not want to lose $90 billion for the privilege of allowing Canada to have a healthcare system and other things that they shouldn't have. They spend our money!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The statement in the video misstates the US-Canada trade deficit as a $90B loss subsidizing healthcare; the goods and services deficit was $27B in 2025 and stems mainly from US purchases of Canadian oil while Canada's system is funded by its own taxes.

“Suspended…”
What are these lower-than-low standards for cops?
Most of us would likely be immediately fired from our jobs if this kind of behaviour came to light in our respective workplaces.

The United States convinced Ukraine to willingly give up their nuclear weapons by promising to protect them from Russian aggression. Here we are, decades later, betraying their trust. Those who support Vladimir Putin are the enemies of freedom and democracy
I never met Steve, but know a lot of his friends. By all accounts a great guy and a tragic loss. My condolences to everyone affected by his passing.

Some nice northern lights over the ocean but sadly the fog didn’t show up. Too bad as my right-seater has never done a CAT 3 outside the sim! The good news is we were half an hour early. Bed time then perhaps a cask ale or 2 at a nice pub. 28 hours to enjoy London.
