Credit where credit is due — Christie absolutely unloading on JD standing behind what Vivek did. This feels cathartic.

Angie Nixon we heard you and we love you and damn, so close!
"If it's Florida's homeowners against insurance companies, I'm with the homeowners. If it's patients against price gouging drug companies, I'm with the patients. If it's families against corporate entities buying up our neighborhoods and driving up the rent, I'm with the families." - Angie Nixon

Anyone's guess if the dirtbag left LA fires movie I conceived, co-financed and made that takes place during the chaotic first weeks of this historically awful Congress will have a premiere destination by the time the new Congress we elect tonight is seated but I sure hope so.

This just in, Gov. Kathy Hochul does not have a position on whether “Dimes Square” should be a thing and you better not call any of her constituents “the dirt bag left.”
Replying to @JosieStratman
Asked ab whether he could appeal to the dirtbag left constituency, a stone-faced Hochul replied:
“They're all my constituents. I don't call anybody ‘dirtbag’. They're all my constituents.”

What a triumph. As Peter Bogdanovich said, "there are no 'old' movies...only movies you have already seen and ones you haven't.” And this one people will see again. Embrace the fresh lunacy and Happy Halloween!

💔 Rest well Peter Medak (1937-2026), a filmmaker whose work was most recently featured on our screens via his 1980 film THE CHANGELING (a selection in our series Bibliomania: A Preface to CHRONOVISOR).
As evidenced below in a section of the film's opening credits, THE CHANGELING was partly filmed on our Lincoln Center campus.

So I recently badgered my cinematographer @steveyedlin into making my ideal iPhone still camera app. It shoots RAW, bypasses the iPhone's look processing and instead uses the same image processing we use on our movies. apps.apple.com/app/apple-sto…

I'm told that tomorrow is the last day of movies at Cinema 1,2,3 on the East Side. This used to be Manhattan's most prestigious cinema and a place where I spent a lot of my youth. Why was it not landmarked?
SPERMWORLD (2024). Lance Oppenheim's documentary about the underground world of sperm donors & recipients. Pretty much a masterpiece for me. Tender, strange, curious, humanistic. Visually stunning. On first watch, probably an all-time top ten favorite documentary for me.

The GRU hacked into Jared Kushner's iPhone. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) then recruited a GRU spy who gave them access to the hacked phone. What MIVD discovered was that Kushner had access to two bank accounts --one Azerbaijani, the other Israeli --where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati ruler Mohammed bin Zayed deposited money. It sounds like a slightly far-fetched episode of "Slow Horses," but it's real. And it proves just how eye-poppingly corrupt this administration was and continues to be as its "special envoy" decides the fate of tens of millions in Europe in the Middle East. Simply incredible reporting by Matthew Cole, drawn from his new book on Kushner. vanityfair.com/story/jared-k…
