A couple bonus screenshots because I can't overstate how much I love this game. Museum mission - also top tier
Any love for Thief Deadly Shadows? π‘οΈ
Just finished Thief Deadly Shadows for the 2nd time (this time on OG Xbox) and while it dumbed down some things compared to T1 & T2 it is still a phenomenal time and a fun game. Shalebridge Cradle is a phenomenal and spooky misson. They still nailed the atmosphere on this one too

Tom Clancyβs Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory designer Clint Hocking says modern graphics are making stealth games harder to design because realistic lighting is more difficult for players to read.
βIt gets very hard to tell whatβs light, whatβs shadow, whatβs dark, whatβs safe, whatβs dangerous.β
Older stealth games used simpler lighting with clear shadows, making it easier for players to know when they were hidden. Games in the Tom Clancyβs Splinter Cell series even included visibility meters to show whether players were concealed or exposed.
Hocking explained that modern features like ray tracing and realistic light effects make environments look better but make stealth gameplay less clear.
He said stealth games work best when players can quickly read the environment, even if the lighting is less realistic. According to Hocking, gameplay clarity is more important than visual realism in stealth-focused games.
