Green Party leader Zack Polanski confronted Conservative and Labour politicians at the London Assembly on Thursday after Conservative Susan Hall introduced a motion condemning the Greensโ decision to define Zionism as racism.
Hall called the Green Partyโs position โabhorrentโ and argued it threatened Jewish Londoners.
Polanski, who is Jewish, accused Hall of weaponizing antisemitism and challenged Labour members over their governmentโs continued military support for Israel amid the genocide in Gaza.
The Assembly passed Hallโs motion 19โ3, with just the three Green members voting against it.

Israeli occupation authorities have decided to deport 12 international activists who were arrested on Friday while supporting Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest in the village of Kafr Ni'ma, west of Ramallah.
The group consists of five German nationals, four Italians, two Canadians, and one American.
Israeli occupation forces had arrested 17 people in total, including the 12 international activists, two foreign journalists, and three Palestinians, including a woman, following an attack by a group of Israeli settlers who assaulted them and forcibly detained them while they were participating in the olive harvest.

Aid workers in Gaza are trying to help the population survive but warn a generation - if they survive - will battle the effects of malnutrition for the rest of their lives. Slow starvation continues, with limits placed even on warm clothes entering Gaza. They need food, water, clothing, medicines, wheelchairs, prosthetic limbs. They need the killing to stop. They need everything that was taken away to be restored - schools, universities, housing, jobs. Instead the international community looks on.

A group of colonisers and Palestinian collaborators are coming to London from occupied Palestine, presenting themselves as "Arabs and Jews".
Even this terminology deserves scrutiny. Arab and Jewish are not equivalent categories. Arab is primarily an ethnic, cultural and linguistic identity, whereas Jewish identity is an ethno-religious identity.
They are not coming to advocate for the liberation of Palestine. They proposed keep the so-called -israel, including the IOF.
In other words, Jewish supremacy continues, under a different name and with a different political face.
They want to reduce Palestine to Gaza and the West Bank, while expecting Palestinians to forget the Nakba, forgive the perpetrators.
