Today there was an important briefing on the results of our deep strikes in September and October. I am grateful to all our warriors for their precision and for consistently and effectively enforcing Ukraine's long-range sanctions. Every Russian strike on our cities and communities always gets our fully justified response. Russian facilities along a line stretching from Yamal to Western Siberia are now within range of our deep strikes, and we are working to ensure that our drones and missiles can reach even more distant parts of Russian territory.
We have set key priorities for the further use of Ukraine's long-range capabilities. Our deep-strike units will also be expanded, drawing on the capabilities of the Security Service of Ukraine, particularly its Alpha Special Operations Center, as well as our intelligence agencies and other components of Ukraine's Defense Forces.
Ukraine's long-range strike capabilities are one of the real guarantees of our independence now, during this war, and they will remain one of our long-term security guarantees after it ends. We are building up our strength. Today I also spoke with the manufacturers of these weapons. Glory to Ukraine!

A strong decision by the U.S. State Department – authorizing Ukraine’s purchase of Patriot interceptors to counter Russian ballistic missiles. Five hundred PAC-3 interceptors is a substantial number, and very soon – this winter – they COULD make for a highly effective defense package. However, it has been stipulated that deliveries may begin ONLY IN A FEW YEARS. We are asking our American partners to find a solution for the time when there is a real danger and a real need to use PAC-3 interceptors.
Right now, the Russians are attacking our energy infrastructure every single day. In just these past two weeks of October, there have already been more than 30 Russian strikes on critical parts of our power grid. It is right now, even before the beginning of winter, that Putin has started carrying out his operation to attack the systems that sustain life in our cities and communities. The targets are electricity, heating, water supplies, bridges, and life in our cities in general.
We did ask our American partners to provide Ukraine with a winter support package – at a rate of 100 Patriot interceptors per month. Five hundred missiles would be enough to protect our skies over the coming months – precisely when it is so important for Ukraine to be in a strong position in negotiations and for Russia NOT to succeed in breaking life in Ukrainian cities and communities.
The United States, our European partners, and other partners around the world have sufficient stocks of PAC-3 interceptors in their warehouses. Providing them to Ukraine right now – in the winter of 2026–2027 – and replenishing our partners’ arsenals LATER, in THE FOLLOWING YEARS, through this production already contracted and paid for by Ukraine and our partners would be the right approach. And it is entirely feasible.
We are grateful to President Trump. Importantly, we recently discussed PAC-3 interceptors with Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Ukraine is grateful to the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Administration overall for granting this authorization. But we are asking for decisions that can guarantee the protection of lives not the day after tomorrow or sometime later, but at the very moment the threat is there – when Russia is killing and destroying. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine!

Yup UCP is caught in a nefarious gerrymander that would make their "intellectual master" Donald happy. Gluing an urban riding with NDP strength to a hunk of SW rural foothills an hour's drive away, where they feel they are better liked. May it all blow up in their face.
Fred Stenson retweeted
Oh man. The gerrymandering must be really bad.
Total garbage. @DonBraid is literally just regurgitating exactly what is NDP buddies are telling him. Would be nice if he represented both sides of an issue for once.
One of the most respected court of appeal justices in Alberta history is chairing the boundary committee. It’s a lie to say that it’s the UCP. The maps aren’t even available yet (though clearly leaked to the NDP by someone).
In addition, Judge Miller and half the NDP caucus complained that there should be 2 additional seats added to account for population growth. So that was done and left to the independent judge-led committee to figure out how to do it. I assume they have done so.
Further, last election the NDP lost the popular vote by almost 10 percent and still almost ended up winning the most seats. So obviously they don’t want any change whatsoever that could level the playing field.
How do you explain that Don? Did the NDP gerrymander the map last go around under Notley? Was the 2023 election undemocratic too?
The UCP isn’t making that claim because it’s disrespectful of the people - including the judge - who did the hard work of determining those past boundaries.
Your bias is so clear Don. It’s disturbing.
Completely true & disturbing. I will be voting in a gerrymandered nonsense called Lethbridge-Waterton, the two ends of which have totally different concerns--all so UCP can bust up an NDP-held urban riding. What political perverts UCP are. Donald gerrymanders so we must too.
I agree re: UCP gerrymandering of SW Alberta ridings. I will be voting in a misshapen monstrosity called Lethbridge-Waterton or somesuch--the two ends of which have different and and conflicting interests. All to smash the ABNDP hold on one seat. UCP villainy at its most insane.

The UCP are going to gerrymander Lethbridge in to oblivion because they need, in the Premier’s Chief of Staff’s words, to “level the playing field.”
They can’t out-work the Lethbridge NDP, they got their asses beat 4 times in a row, so now they figure they need to cheat to win.

Most people in the public eye become footnotes of history. A handful make history. Long after we're all gone, Canadian students will be learning about Manitoba Premier @WabKinew
Abolish the Indian Act. We have nothing to lose but our chains.
We will, of course, need new legislation that is an interface between the Federal government and First Nations. And this MUST be created alongside Chiefs and First Nation governments every step of the way. But it is time to move past the era of this outdated, racist, and patriarchal legislation.
I support Prime Minister Carney’s work to position Canada as a global leader in human rights and democracy. The Indian Act is inconsistent with achieving that vision.
Our laws at home should reflect the values we champion around the world.
It’s time for a relationship with First Nations people that reflects who we are as Canadians today, recognizes nationhood, and lives up to the true nature of reconciliation.

How about making all vaccines easier to access and COVID vaccines FREE for all … and also how about recommending them and explaining the science to citizens.
Respiratory virus season means busier hospitals, and we want to make sure they’re ready. Saturday, I joined Premier Danielle Smith, Minister Nathan Neudorf and Acute Care Alberta CEO Dr. Sayeh Zielke to share what we’re doing to prepare.
Alberta now has a record high of more than 9,000 acute care spaces across the province, and we’re building on that capacity to help hospitals handle the extra demand.
Along with preparing additional hospital spaces, our capacity task force is looking for ways to expand even further. We’re also helping patients move into care settings that better meet their needs and bringing physicians into emergency department waiting areas so patients can be assessed and treated sooner.
These steps will help ease pressure on our hospitals, give health care teams the support they need and make sure Albertans can get the care they need, when they need it.

Friends,
My account here, just like other Ukrainian accounts recently, is suffering from severe shadowbanning/pessimization. There has been a sharp drop in reach, as the platform's algorithms quietly remove it from search and recommendations.
My Threads account, which has 25,000 followers, currently gets more reach than my account here on X.
I will remain here and I deeply value our community. But just in case, I want to remind you that I have other platforms: Threads, Bluesky, and Telegram.

We’ve been demanding a public inquiry for over a year. Danielle Smith and the UCP keep refusing. Why? What are they afraid a public inquiry might uncover?

Trump appeared before a large audience and began loudly insulting Norway—labeling the country a "toilet" and a "shitty dump"—because Norway had refused to award him the Nobel Prize.
Unless the Americans take the microphone away from him, by the end of his term, Trump will have managed to fall out with every single country on earth—with the exception of Vanuatu; and that only because he cannot pronounce the name.
