It's amazing how surprised many of Utds online fans are that the owners are a bit shit, it's not like there weren't massive red flags in the way all of them do business, "successful" or not

It doesn't matter what he thinks, we won and got 3pts that's all that matters, too many people obsess about all these weird fucking stats. Saw a Liverpool content creator doing it this morning, it's boring l, just use your eyes and enjoy when we win
The Seagulls boss with a slightly disingenuous remark towards Liverpool after yesterday's match 😳

Burnham basically saying he hasn't got the bollocks to call another referendum on the EU in case the gobshites Labour have pandered too for the last decade get pissed off

I've loved Araujo's performances but find the clamour to offer him a contract a bit premature. There are lots of questions to address around the CB/RB situation long-term: van Dijk, Leoni, Jacquet, Bradley, Frimpong, and that's before any possible targets. I love the lad, though

The Ballon d'Or has become irrelevant for most; for almost two decades, two players won regardless of if they deserved to. Factor in the Barcelona/Real Madrid bias and dependence on a player's club's CL performance, and the problem is obvious.
The Premier League is home to six of the top 10 richest clubs in world football and since the start of this decade, 17 of the 21 biggest transfers have been paid by clubs from England's top flight. Yet there are just five players from the Premier League on the 30-strong men's Ballon d'Or shortlist. Why is that? Does the Premier League, for all its money and strength, lack stardust? 📝 @OliverKay 🔗 nyti.ms/4z2RDIi

Imagine how tiring it must be as a Utd fan having the likes of Neville and other Fergie generation pundits constantly rambling on about what it was like in their day; it's bad enough when Carragher is on our games.

WHAT A GOAL!!! Graeme Souness' 1st goal for Liverpool against Man Utd in 1978. #Liverpool #LFC #LIVMUN #YNWA

We've got some annoying ex-player pundits—I won't name them—but Utd are a different level completely.

Post-Ferguson Utd remind me of Liverpool in the 1990s: a fan base and club-friendly pundits coming to terms with football after an unbelievably successful dynasty. We were fortunate to get Klopp, but even that was 25 years later; ownership is another matter entirely.
Have Manchester United become the unmanageable club? Michael Carrick is the latest in the firing line but what about those above him like Ratcliffe, Wilcox & Berrada? What about years of decay and rank bad decision making bbc.co.uk/sport/football/art…

Pelé will always unquestionably be one of the greatest footballers of all time, as is quite clear from the incredible numbers on his graphic. His name will live on as a legend for generations to come. Today would have been his birthday.

It's very sad; the lad had his head turned by certain individuals, including his brother, but needs to realise the mistake he's made. I'm not sure, as a right-back, he'd fit that many systems.
It is still too early to call Trent Alexander-Arnold’s Real Madrid move a failure, or a mistake. But it is not working out. 📝 @dermotmcorrigan Free to read: bit.ly/4eK883K

I stopped reading when I saw that Messi had almost 500 votes 🤣
Who should win the men’s Ballon d’Or? That's the question our reporters asked 100 people in football — players and managers, past and present, coaches, sporting directors, scouts, presidents and other executives from around the world. There were some slightly eyebrow-raising selections. A current Bundesliga sporting director voted for Declan Rice in second place. A former international player and manager picked Marc Cucurella in third. A former Premier League coach chose Marquinhos in third place. The winner? Harry Kane. By some margin. 📝 @NickMiller79, @Conor0Neill_ Free to read 🆓 bit.ly/4yzwqoa

Seeing some posts from pundits and journalists asking why anyone would want the Utd job; well, apart from them potentially being a huge football club, I've no idea. Do you have to be guaranteed success these days? It's a good thing Fergie had more about him.

I remember the European Footballer of the Year mainly from when Kevin Keegan left Liverpool and won it for Hamburg; however, the recent obsession with forwards and the link to whoever wins the Champions League has totally devalued it for me.
To quote @rioferdy5: "Ballon d'Or ... Ballon d'Or ... BALLON D'OR!" How social media, the Messi-Ronaldo rivalry, tantrums and tiaras turned a prestigious but relatively low-profile individual award into something that now dominates minds in a team sport. I'd love to know how that much pyro gets into the ground; I've been to quite a few European grounds as well as those in England, and the search process is usually pretty rigorous.
(@RMCsport)

I'm always fascinated to know how these directors of football get to that role, it appears Wilcox reputation was made predominantly from building City's academy and making it "profitable" 🤣
INEOS are fully behind Jason Wilcox and will support the Manchester United director of football if he decides Michael Carrick’s time as manager should come to an end, and with the club making a huge decision on the manager in the wake of their Como thrashing, sources have confirmed to @TEAMtalk . teamtalk.com/manchester-unit…

That's two senior players who have had a go at the club management, whatever form that takes after the last two defeats. I think there's a problem that needs more than a new captain, if I'm honest 🤣
What the captain of Manchester United did/said after the game last night is mutiny Total unacceptable for a captain to question the tactics of a manager in the public Big decision from the hierarchy here Either 1. The captain loses his armband 2. Manager must go

Always in the discussion when considering my all-time eleven at both right and left back, which is some achievement.
Having signed for the Reds on 22 October 1981 from Ayr United, Steve Nicol enjoyed a long and successful career at Liverpool FC. Always ready to give his best, Nicol was used by LFC managers in several positions on the pitch and he found it easy to adapt to a new role. A bit of an unsung hero.

If you watched Liverpool in the 80s, there was no question you were seeing Ian Rush scoring goals. An incredible career worth checking out on his birthday today.
