What sort of country gives loads of its people's money to other countries, then pleads poverty to its people and taxes them into oblivion? This one 🇬🇧

Why are eight billion human beings still passively tolerating being abused, controlled, coerced, surveilled, extorted and dictated to by a tiny handful of other human beings calling themselves "government"? It legitimately baffles me.

I thought I had heard it all. But someone describing Alastair Campbell as “honest and astute” really is quite something. I wonder how the families of the estimated 150,000–600,000 Iraqi civilians who died in the Iraq War and its aftermath would react to that description? The Iraq War and the infamous dodgy dossier remain a devastating part of New Labour's legacy. Some people have remarkably short memories.
Bollocks! Campbell is honest and astute. He’s intelligent and he’s right about the damage of Brexit! Zia Yusuf is a divisive abrasive fascist, just like his repulsive boss!

Doesn’t matter - he just does as he’s told by the people who are really in charge. I have nothing but disgust and contempt for this entire government.

When Roy Keane visited a hospital in Cork in April 2025, he was there to see a 78-year-old man called Pat O’Sullivan who had been suffering from dementia. Pat had been a Manchester United supporter for most of his life and had always regarded Keane as one of his heroes. But unlike most supporters, Pat believed he had a personal friendship with the former United captain. It went back to around 1994, shortly after Keane had joined Manchester United from Nottingham Forest. Pat had been having a drink in his local pub, the Temple Acre in Cork, when Keane walked in. Roy spent time chatting with people in the pub, signing autographs and even bought Pat a pint. For years afterwards, he would tell his family that Roy Keane was his friend. “My dad sees Roy as a real gent and a real straight talker who says it as it is.” But by early 2025, Pat’s health had deteriorated badly. He was suffering from dementia and had been admitted to the Mercy Hospital in Cork. His family had been told he wouldn’t be coming home. Despite everything he was going through, there was one person who could still bring a smile to his face whenever his name was mentioned. Roy Keane. So Pat’s son Rob decided to contact Cork’s RedFM radio station to see if they could help arrange something for his dad. All he wanted was a short video message that he could play for Pat at his bedside. “My thing was I would just love for Roy to hear how my dad feels about him. That’s really honestly it.” Rob got in touch with the station’s Breakfast with KC programme, and producer Victoria Nichols helped get the request to Keane. Rather than record a message, Keane decided to visit Pat himself. Rob was there with his family when the former Manchester United captain walked into his father’s room. “Roy Keane walked into my dad’s room, face to face, and shook his hand.” “When I looked at him face to face, I was in awe. I cannot believe he is right in front of me and about to make my dad’s dream come true.” Pat was sitting in his hospital bed looking at the man he had been talking about for more than thirty years. “My dad looked at him, he was staring at him, and he just couldn’t believe his friend was sitting next to him.” Keane pulled up beside the bed and started chatting with him. They talked about football, life in Cork and Keane’s younger days growing up in Mayfield. It wasn’t just a quick handshake and a photograph. “He stayed for a full 30 mins or so chatting to my dad, it was incredible.” And while they sat together talking, Pat became so emotional that he started crying. Rob was especially grateful because his father’s dementia had been getting worse. But Keane had arrived while Pat could still recognise him and talk to him. “For him to come and visit, take time out of his schedule or his personal time to see my dad, sit with him, go back and forward with stories. You have no idea, it still feels like a dream.” The family had only asked for a video message. Instead, the man Pat had called his friend since sharing a pint with him in the 1990s had come to sit beside his hospital bed. “Dad’s been through so much, and to see his idol walk through that door was unbelievable.” “It’s a moment we’ll never forget.” #football

Britain’s Organized Crime. So many work Vans and tool theft They didn't just steal their sandwich van. They stripped it of its engine and left it completely destroyed. I'm genuinely struggling to get my head around this one... The engine has been ripped out, the van has been completely stripped, and something they’ve worked incredibly hard for has been reduced to scrap! This isn't just a stolen van... It's someone's livelihood. It's a vehicle that serves customers every day. It's the investment they made, the jobs they support,

So apparently Nottingham Cathedral could be the first church to close in the Church of Englands 492 year history as it apparently has run out of money. Am I the only one that thinks this is not coincidental but is intentional? Just remember this government is giving our money away to all & sundry. NOT ONLY ARE WE BEING REPLACED IN OUR OWN COUNTRY, OUR CHURCHES ARE BEING REPLACED TOO & WE ALL KNOW WHAT WITH.

We are being told to drive Electric Cars then they keep threatening power cuts so you can’t drive your car. We are being told that they want a cashless society then told to get cash out in case of a Cyber Attack. We are being told to stock up on Water Bottles because there could be a problem with our water system. We are being controlled by incompetent morons. Just ignore & get on with your lives & ignore all the scaremongering.

🔥 Wayne Rooney TEARS into Manchester United players: “NOT FIT TO WEAR THE SHIRT!” This is as critical as I’ve ever seen Rooney about his former club. He’s raging, and rightly so. Michael Carrick is a Manchester United legend and a close friend of Rooney’s, so this one clearly hits a little harder than usual. On Stick to United with @markgoldbridge, he went straight for the players who love the spotlight when things are good but disappear the second it gets tough, like Bruno, Martinez, Rashford and the rest: “Where’s Rashford now? Things get tough, where’s Rashford? You need to play through the pain barrier. You need to be ready, to give everything for the club, and they’re not doing that.” He didn’t stop there. After that abysmal performance against Bournemouth, Rooney said he was pleased when the fans stopped clapping Carrick off and turned their fury on the players: “I was really pleased when they switched from clapping Michael off the pitch, and then they’ve turned on them players. They’re not fit to wear that shirt at the minute. I don’t think they ever will be. The least you can do is work and show that it means something and that you care.” Rooney said the five-year-olds he coaches understand something these multi-millionaires don’t: You run. You chase. You fight for every ball. This squad can’t even manage the basics! Rooney finished by expressing frustration that the same players are doing it again to another manager, and will almost certainly get away with it: “Honestly, watching it’s just so annoying and frustrating and disappointing that these players are gonna get away with it again.” Ruthless from Rooney. He is speaking for the fans here. They know Carrick hasn’t been good enough, but he’s a club legend who cares deeply about Manchester United and is giving his all. The players have given up. They don’t even run, and that is unforgivable! The fans will back you no matter what if you give your best, but they will never accept what these players are doing. Right now these players are a disgrace to the shirt, to the badge, and to everything Manchester United is supposed to stand for.

Harry Kane spent a decade as one of the best goal scorers alive and lost every final he ever played in. So he transferred to Bayern Munich, a team that had won its league 11 years in a row, to finally win something. Bayern won nothing that year. Tonight he won the Ballon d'Or, which is basically the MVP of all of soccer. Getting there took one of the worst runs of luck I've ever seen from a player that good. With Tottenham he lost the 2019 Champions League final to Liverpool, plus two League Cup finals. With England he lost the Euro 2020 final at Wembley to Italy on penalties, then lost the Euro 2024 final to Spain three years later. He scored 280 goals for Tottenham, more than anyone in the club's history, and left with zero trophies. Bayern was supposed to be the cheat code. His first game was a 3-0 loss in the German Super Cup. Then Leverkusen went the entire league season without losing once, Bayern finished third, and people started calling it the Kane curse, only half joking. His first trophy finally came in May 2025, when he was 31. A few months later he finished 13th in the Ballon d'Or voting despite scoring 41 goals, which is usually where a player's story settles into "great, but never quite there." The voting rules were working against him too. Back in 2022, France Football, the magazine that runs the award, stopped letting voters consider a player's career, so only the most recent season counts now. Fifteen years of goals and heartbreak earned him zero extra votes. He had to win it off one season. And he did. He scored 61 goals in 51 games for Bayern, a number only Gerd Müller has beaten at that club, and Müller is pretty much the Babe Ruth of German soccer. He won three trophies, including a hat-trick in the cup final. Then he scored six more at the World Cup, where England had their best finish in 60 years. That's 73 goals in 65 games, all in. He still didn't win either of the two trophies that usually decide this award. Bayern went out in the Champions League semis and England went out in the World Cup semis. Every winner between Messi in 2019 and tonight had won a Champions League or a major international tournament that same year. Kane just scored so much that the voters ran out of reasons to give it to anyone else. Watch his face in the clip as Ronaldo Nazário reads the name. Rodri turns to congratulate him, and his Bayern teammate Michael Olise reacts in a way you almost never see from him. Kane looks tight, almost braced, like a guy who's watched enough endings go wrong that he won't believe this one until it's over. He's the first Englishman to win it since Michael Owen in 2001, and it only took him 15 years and a move to Germany.
HARRY KANE IS THE 2026 BALLON D'OR! #ballondor

This is how our disgusting snake of a PM reacted when the presenter said “you’ve just spooked everyone saying stockpile.” (I don’t care if you view those who chose to stockpile as fools. This isn’t the debate. The issue is this utter disgrace of a PM and his cronies deliberately promoted the idea, simply to play with people. As if it’s all a game to them.) You can’t push survival kits and 3-days worth of supplies, and then smirk when you’re told that you’ve spooked people. I get it’s Halloween season, and this ghoul plays his own version of trick or treat. It’s called trick or trick.
