News: The Big Ten has adopted a conference rule to raise its roster spending cap to $49 million, with additional league penalties for violations.
Meant to line up with the PCSA if it passes, but effective immediately. Still subject to NCAA and CSC rules.

NEW @TheAthletic: Seven months after his split from UNC, Hubert Davis still isn’t quite ready to discuss how things ended at his alma mater.
But he does know one thing:

Ugh, such unfortunate news. Kamario has been one of the most fun players in all of CFB this season. Excited to see him back on a field in 2027.

After Arizona’s win over Iowa State, Brent Brennan stopped at Dirtbag’s and bought around 300 shots of tequila (a $2,000 bar tab) for UA fans and alumni in town for Homecoming.
Brennan paid the tab and walked out.
Brennan, on buying a round for Arizona fans at Dirtbag's: "I think it's important that if you want people to show up for you, you have to show up for them. ... It was an expensive five minutes, but it was a good five minutes."

Back at @TheAthleticCFB this week after an incredible few months on maternity leave with our son. Feeling so grateful for the time with him and even more in awe of the women in our industry who balance motherhood and career so beautifully. Happy to be back for some 🏈🏈🏈

They’ll be no more remarkable performance in college football today than the one put forth by Yale QB Dante Reno. One day after his father passed away, he played for Yale and threw four touchdown passes and for 298 yards. Yale beat Merrimack 41-24. Bravo.

New: As of August, Nikki Hood is cancer-free. But she and her husband @MDavidHood remain in awe of the support they got from the "Clemson family" this summer after her breast cancer diagnosis, including cards and catering platters from the Swinneys: thestate.com/sports/college/…

Washington football has a new play-by-play voice and she's set to make some history along the way. Elise Woodward is believed to be the first woman in the FBS in such a role. A great day for women in sports:
