Hey drivers!
Fun fact: these cyclists on their daily commute, who probably don't even own a car, pay as much towards the roads, the upkeep of roads, and the building of roads as drivers do.
Just so we're clear

Ridiculous that young people, who are not able to drive as a means of transport, are so often excluded from conversations around concessionary bus travel.
We need free bus travel for young people, disabled people, and the elderly as standard - not based on a postcode lottery.

I think X is a cesspit. A cesspit I enjoy frolicking in, none the less. I dont think you should ban it coz lots of people on it say things you don't like. I dont think you should ban it coz it's run by a far-right promoting lunatic. But if the platform is being used to easily produce AI kiddie porn - then I'd happily ban it until they don't allow you to easily make AI kiddie porn on it. But hey, I'm a loony leftie; so, what do I know?

National Active Travel Commissioner @Chris_Boardman has welcomed @transportgovuk @LilianGreenwood's announcement today on pavement parking.👇

ALT Text on a green background that reads: “Pavements were built for people, not parked cars. They should always be usable by a parent with a double buggy and by someone using a wheelchair. When we design streets this way, healthier, greener journeys become the natural choice—and communities are better for it. Chris Boardman, National Active Travel Commissioner." There is a photo of Chris Boardman smiling and Active Travel England written in white letters.

Blocked pavements can make it harder for parents with pushchairs, wheelchair users and blind or partially sighted people to get around.
That’s why we’re giving local authorities stronger powers to tackle pavement parking and keep pavements accessible. gov.uk/government/news/new-l…

I don’t know who this is. I don’t know if they are a member of a political party. I do not know of any context.
What I do know is that in a civilised democracy, the rule of law is essential. To deliver freedoms for all of us, we need the state, and the police are an extension of that state to keep us safe. To do their jobs.
This clip is disgusting, horrific, and literally shocking.
British people (in this case the police) should be able to go to work to do an honest days work and not experience this level of abuse.
Is there a consequence for this? @ShabanaMahmood @Keir_Starmer @DavidLammy
The police leaders don’t get everything right and I have criticised mistakes in the past, but front line officers should never have to be abused.
This is simply appalling!

Free parking in the street is fine where demand is low.
Where demand is high it is a waste of everyone’s time and of scarce urban space.
A civilised society uses scarce resources efficiently, because that means everyone can have more.
Merry Christmas!
Replying to @mnolangray
Free parking in the street is one of the signs of a civilised society. Free parking encourages visitors - and mixing of communities is a sign of a mature, confident society.

#CyclingWifey has gotten through another year of commuting to work on her cycle without being knocked off. But she had some calls like this one though. I'm glad I bought her a camera as she was able to submit the footage to the police who took further action against the driver. – at Alcochete, Portugal
