I just submitted an Adult Fantast novel in an open submission but it feels like YA open submissions are super duper rare? I have way more finished YA novels than Adult Fantasy as it turns out XD
I really love the concept of YA, but I also wish NA were more popular. So many themes and situations seen in YA would be much suited to protagonists 25-32. Though one can imagine that age range seems "old" I feel like people this age need hope too. To be told failing isnt the end
or maybe that's just me. Maybe *I* need to be told that making mistakes in my youth doesn't mean the rest of my life is over
and I dont mean mistakes like assault or murder, things like that. I mean things like losing friendships, failing out of college, depression and anxiety
Writing YA in this day and age is fun, because the age range is far more interested in saving the planet and shit which makes writing for them easier XD like, same lil-cuz, let's save the planet together #amwriting #writingcommunity
