You got to admire her honesty with what she went through during pregnancy and childbirth. No doubt her husband worked hard on-set but she herself was going through something profoundly life-changing and difficult at the same time and for a time she was even on her own. π
mc: "son ye jin, from your perspective, did you ever notice hyun bin making phone calls during filming or when you saw him? did he ever seem particularly exhausted, somewhat gloomy, or lost in deep thought?"
son ye jin:
"well, at that time, i had only recently given birth, so i was actually having an even harder time myself...(hyunbin π€£) honestly, hyun bin lost quite a lot of weight. that's right. and i also knew how difficult it was for him to portray such a historical figure...
but i was honestly going through so much myself that it was difficult for me to fully understand how hard things were for him. we were both going through a difficult time. there was also a lot of overseas filming, and whenever he came back, he always looked really exhausted. but i kept thinking, 'i'm the one who's having a harder time.'
looking back now, i think those moments actually became an opportunity for us to grow into more mature actors and more mature parents."

"first of all, i think we'd definitely rule out the genres and storylines we've already done before. actually, when i thought about a similar question and considered the possibilities, one particular movie suddenly came to mind. what was it called? mr. & mrs. smith, right?"

"i'd prefer something more realistic. we'd be a married couple, but we'd have really intense marital arguments... something extremely realistic. like, 'it doesn't get any more realistic than this.' almost like a documentary. π€£π€£
