You got to admire her honesty with what she went through during pregnancy and childbirth. No doubt her husband worked hard on-set but she herself was going through something profoundly life-changing and difficult at the same time and for a time she was even on her own. 🙌

"well, at that time, i had only recently given birth, so i was actually having an even harder time myself...(hyunbin 🤣) honestly, hyun bin lost quite a lot of weight. that's right. and i also knew how difficult it was for him to portray such a historical figure...
but i was honestly going through so much myself that it was difficult for me to fully understand how hard things were for him. we were both going through a difficult time. there was also a lot of overseas filming, and whenever he came back, he always looked really exhausted. but i kept thinking, 'i'm the one who's having a harder time.'
looking back now, i think those moments actually became an opportunity for us to grow into more mature actors and more mature parents."

Yejin said it's been almost 20 years since her first Blue Dragon win but it doesn't seem like much time has passed. She's still so pretty. This is truly what aging gracefully looks like.

"when i first made my debut, i had two dreams i really wanted to achieve.
the first was, 'please let me never have to audition again.'
and the second was, 'i really want to win the best actress award at the blue dragon film awards at least once.'
i think it was in 2007 when i won the best actress award at the blue dragon film awards. back then, i thought to myself, 'wow, i've finally achieved my dream!'
and then, almost 20 years later, i won the best actress award again. it felt so surreal, almost like a dream. i also thought about how long it had taken me to achieve it again.
and this time, what made it even more special was that my husband and i won the award together. it was such a tremendous honor. honestly, it was such a huge celebration for our family that i wondered if something like this would ever happen again.
so, in so many ways, the blue dragon film awards have given me such an incredible honor, and i'd like to express my gratitude once again.
it's also quite interesting how awards work. before receiving one, you think, 'well, awards are a matter of luck. sometimes you win, sometimes you don't.' but the more awards you receive, the more you find yourself wanting them.
so rather than waiting another 20 years for my next award, i'd like to make more good films and hopefully win another one much sooner!
