Liberal Zionism in action
I’m grieving the deaths of the two Israeli soldiers killed in Hebron today, and praying for the full & speedy recovery of those who were injured.
I’ve spoken out loudly this week against Israel’s occupation of the West Bank, which imposes violence on a daily basis, and I will continue to do so. But violence is not the path to ending it — or to achieving safety, freedom, and peace for both Palestinians and Israelis.
And neither is collective punishment or ethnic cleansing of an entire neighborhood, or punishing millions of people for the criminal act of two, which Netanyahu has promised to enact in response.
I’ve seen a lot this week and I’ll have more to say about in the coming days (I’m on my way home shortly). There is a path to ending this excruciating cycle of violence. It starts by insisting that every life is sacred, that everyone is created in God’s image.
For now: Shabbat Shalom, to everyone who believes in the hard work of making peace & justice a reality, for everyone.

Your friendly reminder that 100% of Israeli soldiers stationed in the illegally & belligerently occupied West Bank are legitimate military targets.

for the record, this woman's daughter, Shoshana, accused her family, including both of her parents, of sexually abusing her in a ritualistic manner for years.
Not long after she escaped in early 2026, the girl was found dead.

European liberals endorsed the U.S. bombing UNESCO world heritage sites in Iran, and now they are like "the political violence of targeting the Hermés boutique must end! 😭" You are a bunch of racist assholes and hypocrites

these are the "persecuted Jews" you've been been brainwashed into believing were peaceful, innocent, victims. in fact, they are jewish supremacist demons who've been trampling and pilfering our lives, our land, our labor, our heritage, our very souls.
don't you dare talk to me about moderating my language. I never again want to hear a word about jewish trauma or jewish feelings. It's not enough that a small percentage of Jews are actually decent, caring human beings. It's just not enough. call me whatever you want. I literally cannot bear this anguish I feel for our people forced to live under the sadistic boots of these fucking parasites who've sucked our blood dry.

Two years ago today, Hamas' leader Yahya Sinwar was killed in combat in Gaza –– personally fighting on the frontlines against invading Israeli soldiers.
Inexplicably, Israel chose to release its drone video of his last moments. Sitting in an armchair, hooded in a Palestinian kuffiyeh, his right arm blown off, covered in dust from artillery shelling, he resisted until his very last moment –– defiantly throwing a stick at the Israeli drone.
In releasing this video, Israel inadvertently helped solidify Sinwar's already formidable military legacy amongst his people. Viewed by Israelis as an arch villain and terrorist embodiment of evil, the Palestinians rather see him as the modern day successor of their long line of resistance heroes, going way back to Izz al-Din al-Qassam himself, and further, in the past 150 years of resistance to Zionist colonialism in Palestine.
The images of Sinwar's final moments eerily echoed his most iconic photo, below, in which he defiantly sat in a surviving armchair amidst the rubble of his home, destroyed by Israel in their 2021 aggression against the people of Gaza.
The video also blew years of Israeli propaganda out of the water: Sinwar had not been "hiding behind Israeli hostages" or cowering in a hole somewhere, or using his people as human shields.
He had been on the frontlines, personally commanding his troops and attempting to defend the southern city of Rafah.

Ori Goldberg was a thoroughly decent man who lived the “yes, you’re all wrong” meme by standing up to his countrymen every day for the last 3 years. I know it wasn’t easy but he never complained and his courage inspired countless others, including me.
