Kanchi Math Swamiji spoke so grandly about how the Madhva Sampradaya (tradition) is.
Even today, if we take the practice of Ekadashi Vratam (fasting on Ekadashi), it holds a prominent place in the Madhva tradition.

There's something called Constitution of India exists
Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal’s proposal to ban any MP and MLA who gets elected on Party X’s symbol and later defects to Party Y for money or under pressure should be welcomed. He calls for 10 years ban.
Point 5 of CJP’s first demand charter released by @abhijeet_dipke sought the same thing, but much stricter—a ban from holding ANY public office and contesting elections for 20 years.
Breaking political parties, bribing MPs with 50-100 crores, toppling governments is a fraud committed on the country. Such fraud should never happen. The Anti-Defection law is outdated. The ruling party has ensured its misuse in its lust for eternal power. The young will change this! 🇮🇳🪳✊🏻

Not really!
They are just removing the issues you're raising, so that you won't have any issues to set a narrative before elections. Congress not coming back to power only possible if Kumarswamy captures Old Mysuru and Siddaramaiah succeeds in breaking Congress ahinda votebank.
Maybe the mistake is judging @BJP4Karnataka merely through the lens of a vocal minority on social media.
Case in point: Mysuru Chalo. Jan Akrosha. Lalbagh. Ballari Chalo. Look at the pattern.
BJP KA has consistently taken the fight to the ground, issue by issue, constituency by constituency.
Ballari Chalo was the clearest example.
We protested in the Assembly over B. Nagendra’s reinduction. He resigned. We did not stop. BYV kept the padayatra going, and it grew into a larger campaign around drought, farmers, jobs, recruitment, welfare and unemployment.
At Sindhanur, BYV challenged the government’s drought assessment and demanded that more taluks be included. D.K. Shivakumar responded reluctantly, eventually accepting the demand. We also demanded a special Assembly session on drought, and the pressure forced the government to announce one.
But the real strength of Ballari Chalo was what happened between the speeches.
At Marali, BYV sat with shepherd families and listened. In Kampli, he spent time with students talking about jobs and education. In Karatagi, he stopped to felicitate retired teachers. Along the Tungabhadra, he met farmers whose lives depend on the river.
For those of us who have worked with @BYVijayendra Anna over the last few years, this ground connect is not new. It is his strength.
BJP KA is showing what a sustained Opposition campaign can look like: mobilising karyakartas, listening to people, staying with issues and making the government respond.
The headlines might move on.
BJP KA IS ON THE GROUND, ALONGSIDE ITS PEOPLE.

This paper doing the rounds is claiming that real per-capita income of India is roughly $1,000 less than what would have been without Modi government. After replicating the results, and extending the analysis, here are some serious issues I find with the work:
1. The gap between India and the counterfactual synthetic India is overwhelmingly explained by growth in Bangladesh and Ethiopia. But Bangladesh and Ethiopia both have questionable GDP numbers and without them the remaining pool cannot produce a credible counterfactual. Bangladesh's own government concluded that its growth figures had been overstated, worsening after FY2012-13, which is roughly when this study's treatment period begins. Meanwhile Ethiopia went through a civil war, inflation above 20 percent for several years, severe foreign exchange stress and a sovereign default.
While the authors spend time worrying about whether Indian economic data can be trusted, they raise no such concerns about the countries they are comparing India to. (1/7)
