Omo, I remember one state fair I went to years back. Some Naija guys and I heard about this state fair, so we decided to go and check it out. We got there, and there was so much to do. One of the guys said we should get on a ride, and we told him to choose since it was his idea. Oya nau.
He confessed that he had never been on any ride in his life.
“Well, let's start with anyone then,” I said.
He looked around, pointed at the Astral Suspended Coaster, and said, “Omo, this one tough. Make we run this one.”
Oya, let's gooooo. Okough mi leeeee.
We paid and got in line. When it was time to get on, he said he would sit beside me because I had been on the ride before.
Omo, I gock am ni sha. I said, “Okay, no wahala.”
See, I beg you, please, don't ever sit with someone who has never ridden a big jagolova before. Dem fit use their screaming nearly take your life.
The ride started slowly. We never even reach up when he asked, “Wetin dey happen?”
“Wetin dey happen as how? We paid for the ride and we are riding the ride. Abi what kind of omugo question are you asking me laidis?”
He started breathing fast.
I told him, “Just breathe… try dey breathe, and close your eyes. You go dey okay.”
You see, when the ride started going fast, the entire blood of Jesus Christ! I have never heard anyone scream that loud in my life.
“WETIN DEY HAPPENNNNNNN!!!!!!”
And that werey was facing me when he screamed it.
“Shey you dey mad ni? Do you want to block my ear? Calm down!”
“Okay okay……”
*Goes quiet for a few seconds*
“YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE”
*pulls my shirt*
I was fighting for my life on that ride and fighting the werey to leave me alone.
The way he pulled my shirt, I swear he almost tore it. When you are not a digbolugi.
The way I gave him shiko: “Leave my shirt, Oya werey ni.”
“THE BLOOD OF JESUS! THE BLOOD OF JESUSSSSS!”
“Can't you face front?! Are you crazy? Are you mad? Are you a bastard?”
“BRO I WAN COME DOWN. I WAN COME DOWNNNN…. HAAAAAAA”
“Ha, we cannot come down oh. The life that started this ride is the one that will finish it.”
He went silent for a few seconds. I swear I thought he had passed out. Next thing… from nowhere: “YEEEEEEEEEE IKU DEEEEE”
Ha Olorun oba. You shall not die but live in Jesus Name. Oh wow. This is serious.
“BABA HOLD MEEEEEEE. HOLD ME ABEGGGG”
Hold the iron in front of you nau. Ha God. This one is already running mad.
When we finished, Walai, he first sat on the floor for like 10 mins. He didn’t utter any words. I think his life flashed before his eyes that day. 😭😭😭😭
We're hearing that the police actually came to your rescue! And word on the street is that you, your minions, and your recently acquired tout title decided to pick a fight with the wrong crowd, only to receive a few unexpected lessons in street education. Grok even know the true version. Come on, bro, tell us what really happened! 🤣
The Commissioner of @PoliceNG in Ekiti State, CP Falade Adegoroye Michael, personally visited the scene of the brutal attack against us in Ado-Ekiti today. He saw firsthand the extensive injuries we sustained, yet he has the audacity to issue a despicable statement describing a coordinated, violent attack as a mere “altercation.”
THERE WAS NO ALTERCATION! WE WERE ATTACKED!
The Commissioner saw the injuries, witnessed the aftermath of the violence, and was fully aware of the seriousness of what happened. Yet his Command has chosen to trivialize the attack, even describing the injuries as “minor.”
No wonder allegations have emerged that the Commissioner of Police himself was involved. This is despicable!
Video shows the CP leaving the emergency room after observing the extensive injuries.

How do you want the @EkitiPolice_NG to help you when you refused to give a statement?😏😏😏
You sure know what you're doing
The political thugs allegedly sent after us by the Ekiti State Government, with the assistance of DSS operatives, did not stop at brutally attacking and injuring members of our team. They also stole their phones, wristwatches, and shoes during the attack. Through technology, we have now tracked and located some of the stolen items but the police hasn’t done anything to recover them.

A relationship? A friendship? Money? Your career? Your pride?
At what point do you choose your peace over everything else?

Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserves a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as Africa’s most hated, most attacked, most castigated, and most vilified politician who nevertheless remained humble, persistent, undaunted, and strategically focused. Against all odds, he endured and was ultimately crowned.
You may not want to hear that he will be crowned again — but that is the reality.

everything changed.
The transport kingpin stopped taking his calls and gave his collection territory to a nineteen-year-old boy named Small Jango.
The bar owners who used to give him free fish and beer suddenly demanded upfront cash before opening a bottle.
The same young boys who used to chant his name on the street corner began to mock his limp behind his back, whispering: "See person wey think say him be god yesterday."
Reality hit him like ice water: Street loyalty only lasts as long as your physical utility.
Two months ago, I was walking through the market near Alayabiagba in Ajegunle.
I saw Scorpion.
He was sitting behind a small wooden table under a tattered yellow umbrella, selling roasted groundnuts and peeled oranges in transparent nylon bags. He had a small knife in his left hand, peeling oranges with quiet, painstaking focus.
A group of local area boys walked past his stall, laughing loudly, reeking of cheap weed and dry gin, on their way to go enforce collection at the bus stop.
One of them saw Scorpion, stopped, and laughed mockingly: "Ah! Baba Scorpion! So the great killer don turn mallam selling groundnut for market? What happened to the war?"
Scorpion didn't raise his voice. He didn't reach for a weapon. He didn't even look angry.
He carefully finished peeling the orange, placed it neatly on the wooden table, looked the boy straight in the eyes, and said with terrifying calm:
"My brother, I used to ride the tiger because I liked hearing the crowd cheer. But when I fell off and the tiger bit my leg, the crowd didn't stop the tiger, they just started cheering for the next rider.
I sell ₦200 groundnut today, and my money is small. But tonight, I will sleep in my room with my two eyes closed, and when I hear police sirens on the road, my heart will not skip a beat.
Enjoy your ride today. Just pray your leg doesn't slip like mine did."
The young boy stopped laughing. He adjusted his trousers awkwardly, looked away, and walked off into the smoke.
The street will applaud you while you destroy your future for their entertainment, and replace you five minutes after you fall.
Build a quiet life on honest ground. A peaceful piece of bread eaten in safety is worth more than a poisoned banquet inside a warzone.

No matter how you try to deny being a Nigerian, deny being black or deny being African, the Caucasian will always remind you of your roots and identity. The UK Reform Party chieftain calling Kemi ‘a Nigerian Scammer’ is a racist act but also a message and a lesson to all of us.

I woke up to see people dragging Don Jazzy because of the acceptance fee. You people are unbelievable! Abi, are we not Nigerians again?
Some people won’t take an opportunity seriously simply because it’s free. I’m beginning to think the acceptance fee is necessary to filter out those who aren’t genuinely serious, and the way some people are reacting now seems to prove that point.
I’ve seen a case where a lady’s catering school fees were paid for on this app, yet she only attended for a few days and stopped. When she was asked why she stopped attending, she said the tutor was rude to her. If she had paid the fees herself, would she have just stopped like that?
I hate this attitude so much. Most times, people don’t value opportunities they didn’t have to pay for themselves. Someone is trying to help you, yet you turn around and make it look like its fraud.
Not every free opportunity is a scam, and not every opportunity will come in the exact package you want. Sometimes, you need to show commitment, be patient and make the best of what you’ve been given. Nobody owes you free opportunities in the first place.
