Hamas attacked on Oct 7. You danced in the streets. You threw candy. You kissed the ground. You thanked your God. You celebrated. You rejoiced. You spat on the bodies of the victims. You ridiculed and humiliated the hostages as they were brought into Gaza. You celebrated a massacre. You celebrated the deaths of over 1200 human beings. You celebrated the vicious sexual violence against men and women. You celebrated the kidnapping of babies, children, women, men and elderly. You celebrated as rockets continued to be shot into Israel. You celebrated deaths of IDF soldiers as they defended their country and attempted to rescue the hostages. You celebrated the deaths of children in a soccer field – until you learned they weren’t Jewish. You celebrated death and violence against Israelis. Against Jews. And then. Israel responds. You claim you’re innocent – yet you celebrated what Hamas did – you blame Israel. Israel warns you to evacuate – Hamas makes you stay – you blame Israel. Israel delivers aid – Hamas steals it and sells it at exorbitant prices – you blame Israel Hamas rockets misfire, killing Gazans – you blame Israel. Hamas uses schools and hospitals to launch its attacks from – Israel disables those capabilities – you blame Israel. You don’t like the results of the war that Hamas started, and that you celebrated – you blame Israel. Hamas refuses to negotiate, refuses to demilitarize, so the war continues – you blame Israel. No matter what Israel does – you blame Israel. No matter what Hamas does – you blame Israel. If Israel ever were to be gone (which it won’t be), and you wake up and realize you still have all of your same problems, who will you blame?
