What do we mean when we talk about socioeconomic status (SES)? We (@atomsrivet @aaronsreeves @ProfLucyBowes) offer a critical review of the concept of SES + measurement recommendations in our new paper: gpsych.bmj.com/content/37/6/… A 🧵 with some highlights...
We also find that the vast majority of SES measures used to study child and adolescent mental health are caregiver-reported. One of our main recommendations is to survey adolescents (for whom it is already established they can reliably report their own experiences) more directly.
For further discussion and recommendations, see the paper (open access link): gpsych.bmj.com/content/37/6/…
do you find moral philosophy dry? do you just hate reading about statistical theory? if that’s the case, do I have a paper for you…
🧵 New work out! "Analytical Decisions Pose Moral Questions" 🧵 tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.…
