Great analysis. Another win for Publicis is that (I would think) no other holdco will use LR going fwd giving Publicis a serious competitive advantage. Size of the LR network with all those existing enterprise connections & deals very hard if not impossible to build from scratch

This is ingenious. taiv.tv installs a box between cable feed and TVs in bars/restos. The box detects commercial breaks and swaps in Taiv sold local or brand ads. Is it Gator 2.0? or an automated channel changer? what do broadcasters think? @aripap @AdtechGod
Great post - how one small mistake can spiral…plus highlighting how regular communication is key to avoiding problems. (Even if it didn’t go down exactly as imagined in this post)

Someone reminded me of my post from 2023 when I covered the Ford Fest.
Fifteen months later, I’m unaware that these new, less-than-$500,000 detached homes are on the way. 👇

This is a little thing but it's a big thing. Someone in Harris debate prep world came up with a way to make Ukraine resonate with a specific group of voters, then equipped their boss with the relevant stats for Pa.
Then she delivered it like she had said it 100 times.
That's a campaign performing at a very high level.
Good thread. I’m not wringing my hands over the social implications of corner store beer. But the hundreds of millions in penalty is a sickening waste of money. @fordnation @RobinMartinPC

12/ I have no problem w/corner store liquor.
But ON taxpayers are saddled w/massive debt. Maybe that's the point?
Remember 🇨🇦's corrupt infrastructure bank, that turns the infrastructure you already pay for into profitable investments? Freeland just gave Dougie one too. /fin
this is a great feature from @AP which I read in the @TorontoStar - it's a list and exposé of fake stories widely shared on social media in the past week. Should be republished in every 'real' news publication: thestar.com/news/world/not-r…

It’s hard to believe that Minister Steve Clark failed to manage his staff. I believe the Greenbelt giveaway was a deliberate and calculated scheme that Clark & Premier Ford would’ve had to approve. What did seem to be managed well was the story told to the Integrity Commissioner.
Ian Hewetson retweeted
Premier is asked how it’s possible he knew nothing about the process behind the Greenbelt land removals: “I can’t micromanage hundreds of thousands of employees.. I don’t believe in micromanaging, I believe in delegating.”
Ford / developer collusion is disgusting and the pitchforks should be out. But on the bigger issue it would also have helped if the government at multiple levels had created a focused national housing policy 20 years ago.
Imagine buying a property for $15 million because it is zoned agricultural, then calling up your friend Doug Ford and asking for special permission to change the zoning, and then selling it for $62 million.
My friends, this is why we have a housing crisis.

It’s pretty incredible how a single staff member could’ve been responsible for an $8 billion Greenbelt corruption scandal. And acted completely alone. And the Premier and Minister were completely in the dark. Give me a break.
Ian Hewetson retweeted
Minister deletes tweet at some point around June 2022, presumably as he was in the back rooms plotting to carve up the Greenbelt, ending the steadfast commitment to protecting the Greenbelt.
The deletion of this tweet reinforces that the Minister and the Premier know full well that they are no longer protecting the Greenbelt. Protestations otherwise, and the so-called swap that was meant to appease, was just smoke & mirrors shenanigans.
The intention was to tear it apart.

This is mind-boggling. Ontarians are being told that one political staffer was able to take over the machinery of government and override civil servants to remove land from the cherished, protected Greenbelt, increasing the value of developers’ - who are key donors to the Conservative party - property by billions of dollars. And neither the minister nor the Premier knew?
Yeah, that is believable.
If this was true, it would be the most remarkable failure of leadership.
There are now three reasons for the Minister to resign:
1) violation of the Planning Act, in removing these lands without due process as established in regulation
2) the breach of public trust, in serving the interests of a handful of developers instead of the public
3) lying about doing so

A question is asked about the investigation into Clark’s Chief of Staff. @citycynthia says it’s hard to believe that neither Premier Ford or Minister Clark knew what was going on.
Ford says Clark will answer, Mulligan says she wants Ford to answer too - and presses him. Doesn’t let him off.
