I’m grateful that @NYCmayor has cancelled his predecessor’s plans for building an unnecessary law enforcement training campus in College Point… right next to an existing 32-acre police academy.
This facility, which would have cost taxpayers at minimum $225 million, would not have made New Yorkers any safer. What would actually make us safer are investments in housing, healthcare, and social services, which is exactly what I’m going to be fighting for in Albany.
