Ilhaan Omar xogteeda waxa bixiyay ninkan reer Laascaanood ah. Booraan hadimo ha qodin, haddaad qodana ha dheerayn, ku dhici doontaana mooyee.
1/ Years of rumors about Ilhan Omar's marriage went nowhere. Then one man stopped speculating and put his name on it: Abdihakim Osman Nur, also known as Abdi Nur. 🧵

Djibouti included Somaliland in its joint communiqué with China while signing a security agreement on 22 October 2026. Can you imagine how serious Djibouti is about blocking Somaliland’s recognition? It seems even more serious than Somalia itself. This is the same approach as Somalia did in Alamayn, but more advanced and on a level involving one of the world’s superpowers, with Djibouti itself being a third party that is not directly involved in the Somaliland–Somalia dispute. Djibouti’s inclusion of Somaliland in its communiqué with China resembles Saudi Arabia making a similar move with a superpower like the USA over the Iranian–Emirati islands dispute. A third party that is not even directly involved in the dispute is bringing it into the discussion, apparently treating the issue as a serious and alarming national security threat. Obviously, the move may have already been in the works, and Trump’s statement about Somaliland may have triggered a response from both sides. - Somalia went to Al Alamein and included Somaliland in its joint declaration. - Djibouti went to China and included a third-party country in its communiqué. - Somalia has a direct dispute with Somaliland, but Djibouti’s case is totally different. This suggests that Djibouti may be even more concerned and serious about opposing Somaliland’s recognition than Somalia itself. So now, this is the ranking of those most opposed to Somaliland’s recognition, and ironically, Somalia is in third place: Djibouti Turkey Somalia
While the El Alamein Joint Declaration explicitly mentions Somaliland, it does not mention Ethiopia by name. Yet its provisions on Somaliland, the Nile and the Red Sea carry direct strategic implications for Ethiopia. So, how long are we going to keep warning Ethiopia? Ethiopia is facing pressure on several fronts at once. Egypt, Sudan and Eritrea using Somalia as tool have long-standing disputes with Addis Ababa, while Ethiopia has increasingly linked external actors to its internal security problems. The Tigray conflict demonstrated how quickly regional rivalries can become intertwined with Ethiopia's domestic instability. Ethiopia has now said so openly. Addis Ababa accused Egypt, Sudan and Eritrea of supporting an opposition alliance led by the TPLF claims they deny. Ethiopia closed its embassy in Asmara, expelled 10 Eritrean diplomats and an Egyptian diplomat. Eritrea responded by severing diplomatic relations with Ethiopia. Then the same countries sat together. On 4 October, Egypt, Sudan, Eritrea and Somalia met in El Alamein and agreed to strengthen consultation and coordination. Their declaration addressed three separate issues: the Nile, the Red Sea and Somaliland. Somaliland was addressed independently, not as an issue concerning Ethiopia. However, its inclusion is significant because Ethiopia has its own strategic relationship and interests involving Somaliland. 👉🏾On the Nile, the declaration rejected unilateral measures affecting Egypt and Sudan's existing water uses. 👉🏾On the Red Sea, it declared governance the exclusive responsibility of littoral states. For landlocked Ethiopia, both positions have direct strategic consequences: one concerns its ability to utilise the Nile for development; the other concerns its pursuit of reliable maritime access. Then comes Somaliland. The same four countries reaffirmed Somalia's claim on territorial integrity that include Somaliland and rejected recognition or support for Somaliland. The opposition to Somaliland has also been advanced through major regional and international institutions, including the Arab League, African Union, IGAD, OIC and the United Nations. The important point is not that these countries necessarily share one secret plan against Ethiopia. It is that their positions are increasingly converging around the same strategic pressure points: Ethiopia's internal security, the Nile, the Red Sea and its potential relationship with Somaliland. Ethiopia should not ignore this convergence. The same countries are opposing Ethiopia on key strategic issues while opposing Somaliland. These are separate political questions, but they are increasingly interconnected: Somaliland could offer Ethiopia a lawful, mutually agreed maritime alternative. And there is another signal: Djibouti was absent. Yet Djibouti is currently Ethiopia's main maritime gateway and is deeply integrated with three of the four countries involved. Its absence matters, particularly as Ethiopia has increased investment in alternative regional options and tensions with Eritrea have intensified. The message for Ethiopia is simple : Do not wait until your options narrow further. Somaliland and Ethiopia may have separate political questions, but their strategic interests can converge around maritime access, trade and regional security.

This is why the Muslim Brotherhood is against the Republic of Somaliland 👇🏾
🚨 BREAKING: China and Djibouti have signed a security cooperation memorandum in Beijing, alongside a joint communiqué opposing international recognition of the Republic of Somaliland and its relations with Taiwan. China already maintains a military base in Djibouti, which also hosts American forces near the strategically important Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Both countries pledged to uphold freedom of navigation while warning outside powers against actions that could destabilise the region. Pairing maritime security cooperation with explicit opposition to Somaliland’s recognition suggests Beijing intends to shape both the region’s security arrangements and its diplomatic future. For Washington, this raises a strategic question: will the United States allow Beijing to consolidate its influence at the gateway to the Red Sea, or pursue a stronger partnership with Somaliland? africa.businessinsider.com/l…

The U.S. should recognize Somaliland for this alone.
🧾 Receipts: Ilhan Omar’s original last name was Elmi before it was changed. This evidence was available, but the Obama Justice Department refused to investigate. Her brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, and their father, Nur Said Elmi (also known as Nur Omar), used multiple names across different countries. Part of the family fled to the United Kingdom, while Ilhan Omar and others entered the United States under their father’s assumed name, “Omar.” These name changes and split identities were used to conceal the father’s true war crimes and identity. Marriage details: • Groom: Ahmed Nur Said Elmi • Bride: Ilhan Abdullahi Omar (real name Ilhan Elmi) Extradition? @TheJusticeDept @DHSgov @WhiteHouse

I had a good call with Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, @sikorskiradek. We discussed the significant increase in Israeli tourism to Poland and opportunities to expand cooperation, dialogue, and investment between our countries. We also discussed the war in Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East. I updated Minister Sikorski on the police investigation into the incident in Judea and Samaria involving several diplomats, including the Polish Consul.
