This is going to be an embarrassingly, ridiculously long thread that might interest no one, but the reunion scene between Louis and Lestat in episode 8 of Interview with the Vampire is one of the most devastating and beautiful and visceral scenes I've ever seen, and definitely🧵
Seeing Jacob, Sam, and Sheila at Emilia Clarke's party is so delightful and SO sweet for multiple reasons. It also reminds me that Emilia was once attached to a film about Elizabeth Barrett Browning... thinking of Sam as Robert Browning (their story is INCREDIBLE)... ah, dreams.
Love that!
Playbill credits AMC’s ‘Interview With The Vampire’ and ‘The Vampire Lestat’ as one of the main reasons for the vampire media renaissance and highlights Sam Reid's visit to ‘The Lost Boys’ cast last June/July in a new article.

Just wanted to echo this because Sweeney Todd is some of the most brilliant, most shocking music (music AND lyrics) ever written. There's nothing like it. It's the weirdest funniest most beautiful most discordant and disturbing thing.
I've been reading a couple of different translations of both the Odyssey and the Iliad, and the most striking aspect to me is how moving Achilles' grief is, and how psychologically accurate and specific it feels. Like him dragging Hector's body around Patroclus' grave every day--
This is great, that seemed like egregious animal cruelty. I hope there's a plan in place to make sure the horses are taken care of.
EXCLUSIVE: Mamdani and NYC Council Speaker Julie Menin have reached a deal to abolish the city’s horse carriage industry — a critical breakthrough in a decadeslong, politically fraught effort to ban the tourist attraction.

I always think of this Vogue shoot with Jessica Chastain where they had her recreate various masterworks, and I basically want exactly this with Sam and Jacob. Put them in a John Singer Sargent.

For season 4, I hope we get more photoshoots like this @GQMagazine one that really understand and utilize how timelessly beautiful Jacob and Sam's faces are. These shots were just so good.

And TVL is now at number ONE in the US, ahead even of a show that premiered this week. I wonder if it’s people subscribing to watch Yaga choosing to watch TVL first? Whatever it is, that seems very good for the show and season 4.
Interestingly, TVL is current UP to #2 in the US, tied for number 1 worldwide. All of which hopefully means good things for season 4.
I've enjoyed everyone's lists and decided to do this for my favorite/most influential plays. Yes seven of them are by the same playwright, but you know, he's really very good.
It will never not be hilarious that someone as shy as Sam Reid is getting slutted out this hard. The curse of beauty. 😂 It also remains insane that he embodies Lestat like this, but that’s always true.

!! That's so cool for IWTV/TVL! From an article with the headline "Horror Impact Report: From James Wan to Curry Barker to Naomi Ackie, Variety Crowns the Talent Defining the Genre"
Variety highlights Rolin Jones for his work in #TheVampireLestat as one of the artists “fostering and elevating spooky storytelling”.
“Jones has brought his playwriting background and distinct voice to AMC’s adaptation of Anne Rice’s ‘Vampire Chronicles’.”
I've always liked Sean T. Collins' reviews in the NYT and Vulture, and it's great that he calls The Vampire Lestat one of the year's best shows ("Ken Russell's Velvet Goldmine" is an amazing description) -- and IWTV/TVL one of the 20 best of the 21st century.
