University of Liverpool Inaugurates Bengaluru Campus: A New Milestone in Karnataka–UK Collaboration Pleased to inaugurate the University of Liverpool’s Bengaluru Campus alongside Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tim Jones and Liverpool City Region Mayor Mr. Steve Rotheram. What began as a dialogue during our London roadshow with Russell Group universities has now translated into a significant milestone for Karnataka’s higher education and innovation ecosystem. The University of Liverpool’s Bengaluru campus, its first in South India, reflects growing global confidence in Karnataka’s talent, research capabilities and innovation potential. With over 27 lakh higher education students, 1.6 lakh engineering graduates annually and 24,000+ DPIIT-recognised start-ups, Karnataka offers a strong foundation for global academic and industry partnerships. Through initiatives such as #KWINCity, we aim to bring education, research, entrepreneurship and industry closer together, transforming knowledge into intellectual property, advanced manufacturing and high-value employment. This inauguration marks a new chapter in Karnataka–UK collaboration, strengthening our ambition to position Karnataka as a global hub for education, research and innovation while creating greater opportunities for our youth.
