Thinking of all the information I could have in my brain if I wasn’t keeping all the lyrics to La Vie Boehme stored away up there.
How is the internet less private than in 2006, when the whole family shared one computer?
Back then, the internet was weird, personal, and all of ours.

Knowing that Billy “contacted someone who was high up at X” to get access to Elizabeth’s account it’s safe to assume that higher up at X that could literally be anyone is astroturfing all of the negative Seyfried talk

People are easier to govern when their suffering is framed as a personal failure rather than a systemic problem.

At this point, the least realistic thing about the Hunger Games is the high speed rail travel.
the reddit that saved me from a lifetime of hating how my breasts felt, fit, and looked in clothes. my supposed 34DDD (courtesy of a 19 y/o at victoria’s secret) is actually a 32HH. I will always shout from the rooftops about it, but it’s hard to get people to see sense.

I don't understand why Nolan was justified for purposefully using a viking ship and softair armor and Roman helms in ancient Greece because they fit his vision but Gerwig can't put sparkles in Narnia because they fit her vision.
There are serious logistical flaws.
For example, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe occurs during WWII in the 1940s. Peter, Susan, Ed, and Lucy Pevensie flee London for the country because London is being bombed by Nazis.
This is a huge plot point and shapes how the characters interact for the rest of the story.
It is impossible for Digory to have lived in the 1950s, because he built the wardrobe which Lucy climbed into. It’s made out of Narnian wood, which is why it becomes a portal between two worlds. Digory grows up to be the eccentric professor who the Pevensie children take shelter with during WWII.
The era change completely upends the entire series. I don’t understand how anyone familiar with the source material could make this kind of mistake.
