I've decided to unprivate my account, at least for the duration of my stay in Japan. I realize a lot of cosplayers/fursuiters in Japan don't use Bluesky, and I don't want them to miss out on any photos I took of/with them at Chokaigi today. Here's hoping I don't regret this...

What the fuck Is going on with TPCi every day is getting worse. Can we get some accountability?

Here the latest new from Gdansk regional: An italian player (Vincenzo Cipolla) is playing on stream his top8. Many italian players there are ready to watch the game in the venue and they are sitting together in order to show him their support. Some judges approach them and threath them that every sign or reference to "iCaterpie" will automatically mean being removed from the venue. They asked me to remain anonymous because they are really scared to get retaliance from Tpci. All of this just because they are my friends. Have we really reached this point? How many limitations must players accept just to be able to play Pokémon? Is this limited to every player close to me or we have to extend this to all the italian community ? I feel really sorry for everyone. Please don't do anything that might lead to consequences for you in the Pokémon world because of me. I love you, but I'm not worth of your future.

Completely fucking insane what's going on with TPCi, turning a veteran of the game into a persona non grata just because of a single judge having a fit. Even thou they still show some banned cheaters in promotional material. At some point someone need to be held accountable

imagine playing this game for 25 years, being an influence for many players and helping to keep this community alive, and the company you’ve spent a large portion of your life supporting CENSORS YOUR NAME and punishes people for mentioning you. Sickening stuff #freeicaterpie

Yesterday I joked "Italian community" was a trigger word now. Today, reportedly, Italian players in Gdańsk were warned that any reference to "iCaterpie" means removal from the venue. So what's next? Italian players quietly kept off stream matches, just to avoid any risk of controversy? Green sleeves replaced at deck check? Caterpie pulled from the Pokémon Center plush shelf "for stock reasons"? Surely nobody will experience anything like this. Yesterday was just a fluke. 💚🐛 #FreeiCaterpie

** A COMPLETELY NEW LEVEL OF CENSORSHIP IN GDANSK ** I'm watching the stream of the OFFICIAL channel of Pokemon tcg and after the match of @AlbertoContiTCG he was doing the standard interview post game. The caster asked him "do you have anyone at home who wants to shout out?" Then they silenced the answer of Alberto just in case HE MIGHT say something about me... I'm speechless... I'm not even allowed to be a memory in my friends hearth now...

The stream operators just raised even MORE questions. There’s clearly a broadcast delay (roughly 5+ seconds), which makes the censorship even harder to ignore. Censorship has no place in competitive gaming. 🖕

Muted right after "all the Italian community..." So is that a trigger word now? Same for Caterpie, I guess? 🐛 Would TPCi rather alienate a whole local community, and cancel a Pokémon from their own IP, rather than offer a bit of transparency? #FreeiCaterpie

@playpokemon what were you afraid of? You wouldn’t need to hide if you just made your bans public. We all deserve to know why players have been removed from the circuit.
