Seeing the reactions to You Can See Everything makes me think the film might have been too generous in assuming people would remember that Elizabeth Holmes is 100% a liar and con artist. Please discern between sympathy and grace.

i am baffled by people who watched you can see everything and came away convinced that nathan fielder fell in love with elizabeth holmes??
the final shot is less of a grand reveal of previously concealed intimacy, and more of a joke at our expense! itβs a wink at how easily audiences can be manipulated into creating narratives from selectively presented evidence.
his disclosure that heβd recently gone thru a breakup, the question posed to him in the last minutes of the movie β¦ who chose for those things to be included?
people are missing the meta point behind those editorial choices β that people should question nathanβs reliability as a narrator, *including* potentially contrived intimate or romantic dynamics.

it's so interesting to see what audiences also get manipulated by holmes. like no, she isn't getting treated worse in prison because of a tv show, that's manipulation! amanda is right to say fuck that! liz could pull sympathy from a stone, what a talent

itβs very cool how by the end of the movie both Lance Oppenheim and Amanda Seyfried have clocked that Nathan is a compromised narrator (and clearly Nathan does to) due to being drawn in by Elizabeth Holmesβs doe eyed vulnerability shtick, but frame it incredibly well in film.

Nathan Fielder is a GREAT example of someone who has broken free from relational automaticity, very inspiring to watch. He doesn't take bait that's thrown at him, and he doesn't even flinch. Someone tells him to do something, he calmly responds "why?" In stress, he stays curious
this was such a fascinating watch especially with the added context i watched right before the film, feel like this was as much a doc about holmes as it is about fielder

Yknow, as much as I love Subaru, I think there could 100% be a way better protagonist for the series
Maybe if he was like... a gorilla? He could be super smart and from the moon, with a short range toggle Tesla cannon, and a dome shield to counter sin archbishop authorities
