Trump is one of the greatest threats to democracy this country has seen. This is not about one isolated abuse of power; it is a pattern. Vigilance has never been more important, and the midterm elections will be among the most consequential in recent history. Get out and vote!
Examples include:
1. Trying to overturn the 2020 election by pressuring state officials to change the results.
2. Promoting a scheme to replace Biden’s electors with fake Trump electors and pressuring Mike Pence to reject the lawful electoral count.
3. Repeating false claims that the election was stolen, despite recounts, audits, investigations and court rulings that found no evidence of fraud sufficient to change the result.
4. Summoning supporters to Washington before the January 6 attack and failing to act promptly to stop it.
5. Pardoning or commuting the sentences of January 6 defendants, including people convicted of crimes committed during the attack.
6. Elevating election deniers and people who supported overturning the 2020 result to positions of power.
7. Attempting to impose election rules by executive order, including documentary proof-of-citizenship requirements and restrictions on mail ballots. A federal court blocked those rules as beyond presidential authority.
8. Pressuring states to hand over sensitive voter data and suing those that refused.
9. Having the FBI seize 2020 ballots and other election records from Fulton County, based on allegations tied to claims about that election that had already been investigated and disputed.
10. Directing the Justice Department to sue Alaska to block certification of its Senate result if the Republican incumbent loses.
11. Firing independent inspectors general responsible for investigating misconduct across federal agencies; a judge later found the firings unlawful.
12. Firing or seeking to remove prosecutors, FBI officials and agents involved in investigations of Trump or the January 6 attack.
13. Weakening civil-service protections and seeking greater presidential control over independent agencies.
14. Using, or threatening to use, federal law enforcement against political opponents and institutions that challenge him.
15. Threatening civil-society organizations with politically charged investigations or retaliation.
16. Considering the use of IRS tax-exempt status to target nonprofits perceived as political enemies.
17. Dismantling civil-rights and anti-discrimination protections while rejecting remedies intended to address discrimination.
18. Attacking judges who rule against him and undermining the legitimacy of judicial checks on presidential power.
19. Weakening the officials and institutions that resisted his attempt to overturn the 2020 election.
20. Normalizing the idea that elections are legitimate only when he wins, that law enforcement should serve the president personally, and that political opponents are enemies to be punished.
I am sure I have missed other examples, but this list was exhaustive (and exhausting) enough. At any rate, if I have missed anything, please add it in the comments.
Taken together, these actions should ordinarily constitute grounds for impeachment.

In 2015, Conservative MP and leading Brexiteer Owen Paterson declared:
“Only a madman would actually leave the market.”
He was talking about Britain's relationship with the European Single Market. And he wasn't the only prominent Brexiteer making such arguments.
Remember what we were told before the 2016 referendum?
Daniel Hannan: “Absolutely nobody is talking about threatening our place in the Single Market.”
Nigel Farage: “Wouldn't it be terrible if we were like Norway and Switzerland? Really?” He repeatedly pointed to their prosperity and independence as examples Britain could follow.
Matthew Elliott, chief executive of Vote Leave, described the Norwegian or EEA option as potentially attractive.
Even the Conservatives' 2015 election manifesto declared: “We say: yes to the Single Market.”
Single Market participation and Norway-style relationships were plainly part of the Brexit debate.
And then Britain left not only the EU, but also the Single Market and Customs Union.
The economic consequences have been substantial.
The Office for Budget Responsibility estimates that Brexit will leave Britain's economy around 4% smaller in the long run than it would have been had we remained in the EU, with exports and imports approximately 15% lower than otherwise.
Goldman Sachs estimates the economy is around 6% smaller than it would have been. Research published by the US National Bureau of Economic Research puts the reduction in GDP per person at approximately 6–8%.
These are not claims that Britain's economy has literally shrunk by those amounts since 2016. They measure the economic growth and prosperity that researchers estimate we have lost compared with remaining.
Cambridge Econometrics separately estimated that by 2023 Brexit had reduced annual UK economic output by approximately £140 billion, with 1.8 million fewer jobs than in its no-Brexit scenario.
And behind those figures are businesses facing additional paperwork, exporters confronting regulatory barriers, reduced investment and opportunities that Britain could otherwise have enjoyed.
This is why the argument about returning to the European Single Market has become so significant.
The Liberal Democrats now advocate rejoining both the Single Market and Customs Union. Their argument is that restoring easier access to Britain's largest neighbouring trading market would reduce costs, encourage investment, increase trade and create economic opportunities.
Economic research supports the expectation of gains, although estimates vary. The important qualification is that rejoining would not instantly undo a decade of lost investment or automatically recover every percentage point of GDP lost to Brexit.
But this debate is about more than GDP.
European integration also means opportunities for people: young Britons studying in European universities, workers building careers across borders, businesses sharing ideas, scientists collaborating, and families maintaining relationships without so many bureaucratic obstacles.
Restoring freedom of movement would restore reciprocal opportunities for British citizens across Europe, not simply permit Europeans to come to Britain.
There is also a wider question about the kind of relationship Britain wants with its neighbours: one based on greater economic and social cooperation, shared opportunities, scientific progress and mutual understanding, or one that maintains many of the barriers erected after Brexit.
A decade after the referendum, the evidence gives Britain a much clearer picture of the economic costs of leaving.
And Owen Paterson's words from 2015 remain a reminder of just how different the Brexit debate was before the referendum.

Trump: powiedział, że Norwegia to „gówniane państwo”.

Trump, "I'm not in love with Norway. Frankly, Norway sucks. Norway has become a sh*thouse country"
My view:
That is the language of a president throwing a tantrum because Norway didn’t give him the Nobel Peace Prize.
The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded by an independent committee, but Trump’s response is to insult an entire country as though it personally owes him a medal.
It is crude, petty and revealing.
And the comparison makes his outburst look even more absurd.
In 2024, Norway’s gross government debt was about $62,600 per person, adjusted for purchasing power.
America’s was about $106,400.
Norway gives its residents universal healthcare coverage, while the US spends around $14,885 per person on healthcare and still doesn’t guarantee coverage to everyone.
Public universities in Norway are tuition-free for Norwegian and EU/EEA students; in the US, students commonly face substantial tuition bills.
And Norway has built an enormous sovereign wealth fund, worth 21.3 trillion kroner at the end of 2025, investing the country’s oil wealth for future generations.
Norway isn’t perfect, and its system has costs and trade-offs. But on public finances, healthcare access, university costs and saving national wealth, it has made choices the United States could learn from.
Trump’s insult sounds less like a serious judgement of Norway than envy and wounded vanity: a president attacking a country that has managed to provide things America still struggles to deliver for its own people.

NEW 🚨 Trump just admitted that HE personally ordered the Justice Department to pursue its lawsuit in Alaska to stop the certification of the election in advance 😡
YES. THIS IS ILLEGAL.
When a reporter asked Trump about the lawsuit, he didn't even try to hide his involvement.
"I'm the one that said do it," Trump declared.
While Attorney General Todd Blanche has repeatedly insisted that the Justice Department isn't being improperly directed by the White House, Trump just openly acknowledged giving the order in an election-related lawsuit.
The president is personally directing his DOJ to intervene in state election matters just DAYS before the midterms.
And apparently, he sees absolutely nothing wrong with admitting it on camera.
The Justice Department is supposed to serve the American people, NOT function as Donald Trump's personal political enforcement arm.
We need to vote so OVERWHELMINGLY BLUE that, come January 3rd, impeachment proceedings can start 🌊

Trump has been trying to humiliate Kaitlan Collins for 8 YEARS. He has yet to succeed. She, meanwhile, keeps responding by doing her job even BETTER 👑
It started in 2018 when Kaitlan asked Trump a question about Michael Cohen and Vladimir Putin.
The White House barred her from an afternoon press event and called her questions "inappropriate."
Because when a WOMAN asks a question a powerful man doesn’t like (and can’t answer), suddenly the problem is not the question…
It is her tone.
Her manners.
Her attitude.
Her face.
Her body.
Her failure to make him comfortable.
CNN described the decision as retaliatory.
The White House Correspondents' Association and even competing news organizations publicly defended her access.
That was just the beginning…
It continued in nearly every briefing.
Every press gaggle.
Every town hall.
Every debate.
He called her a “nasty woman.”
He told her to “smile more.”
He used his favorite insult “fake news.”
NOTHING WORKED.
8 years.
0 successful humiliation.
Meanwhile, Kaitlan kept getting promoted: at 28, she became the YOUNGEST chief White House correspondent in CNN’s HISTORY 💖
She later received her own prime-time program, The Source, and was named to the 2024 TIME100 Next list.
Kaitlan Collins is a queen 👑

According to The Economist:
"It appears to have come from a small circle around the president, Mr Musk and Steve Witkoff, the special envoy to Russia. Reports suggest Mr Musk wanted to punish Ukraine for striking Russian refineries. One official says he contacted the White House only after imposing the restrictions."
If true, this suggests Elon Musk imposed the terminal-speed restrictions unilaterally, before notifying the White House.
Congress must urgently investigate whether Musk acted without government authorization. It is unacceptable for a private citizen to exercise unilateral control over a vital military capability. Starshield is a defense system, and decisions to restrict its operational capabilities should rest with the appropriate government authorities, not the CEO of a private contractor.
This should alarm everyone.

Anytime you hear the 34x convicted felon in the White House complaining about voter fraud or rigged elections, just remember he's the one — on tape!!! — asking Republican officials to "find 11,780 votes" in Georgia.
It's ridiculous and pathetic and the media should be reminding him of this every single time he opens his stupid traitorous mouth to shout these asinine conspiracy theories.

🚨 This is huge.
Andy Burnham is now openly saying that EU free movement would not be a red line.
Free movement was one of the central reasons Britain ruled out the Single Market after Brexit.
If that red line goes, the door to much deeper economic reintegration opens with it.
Burnham hasn’t committed to restoring free movement yet.
But he is now publicly questioning one of the fundamental assumptions on which hard Brexit was built.
And his argument is devastatingly simple:
Pre-Brexit European migration was often circular - people came, worked, and went home.
Post-Brexit Britain ended free movement and then experienced much higher net migration.
Brexit did not solve immigration. It changed its nature, while damaging trade at the same time.
Thank god we’ve moved beyond “make Brexit work” to reconnecting Britain.

The absolute hypocrisy.
Reform UK’s Suella Braverman who loves lecturing the public about relying on taxpayers money billed the public £45,000 for utilities including a water bill equal to 18 baths a day.
This massive handout is in addition to her taxpayer funded Member of Parliament salary of £98,599 a year.
Her £45,000 utility claim alone is nearly double the entire annual benefit cap of £25,323 for a struggling family.
That public cash could have fully funded the maximum Universal Credit standard allowance for over 10 single people for a whole year.
While normal families face strict caps and harsh poverty she is rinsing the system. Suella is rinsing the taxpayers
