My toddler has taken approximately 1 nap in the last two weeks so in my fried state I told her if she doesn't sleep the boogeyman is going to kidnap Ms. Rachel forever

The attacker has to be on your tailscale network for the exploit to work But if the attacker is already on your network, does it even matter?
‼️ Researcher Erica Windisch skipped coordinated vulnerability disclosure and published 11 unpatched Tailscale flaws. In her lab, Tailscale SSH race conditions let one hacked device get root on other servers and add a rogue node.

A disturbing amount of podcasts could be classified as “friend replacements” The content is pointless and supposed to closely mimic “shooting the shit” and have the side effect of creating inside jokes further deepening the parasocial friend replacement dynamic. It’s a problem
I do have to ask as an old person: what kind of show is this Ethan Klein thing? Why would an audience sit through the hosts just talking about a water bottle for this long? Because of this affair thing I’m seeing a ton of clips from the show and is it really just banter for hours? Reminds me of FM radio drive time shows but those would mostly play music and do the banter in between songs. Or are these clips not representative of the thrust of the stream? What am I missing?

The B&N “Banned Books” section covers books that have been banned at individual schools or on a county level in the US (mostly Florida iirc) These *are* banned books in the US, just not where you go to school or live
Characteristics of *actual* banned books: - Amazon refuses to sell bc it violates their “offensive content policy” - online forums discussing it are filled with ‘we need to do something’ anons (FBI) - people will fly around the world to murder you for translating it

The core objective is not to maximize your wealth. It is to maximize the quality of your finite life, lived deliberately and without regret. Never forget this

I’ve been searching for “grail” computers lately as a hobby. Essentially computers built in the last ~10-15 years that were made with the consumers interest in mind. I.e. actually upgradable, and built to last I am baffled by the 2009-2010 era iMacs. Every component you’d want to replace yourself, you can. The screen is magnetically held in place so all you need are suction cups to access the internals. The CPU sits in a standard LGA socket so you can swap out the i3 for i5 or i7. Storage is an easy swap. It has literal back doors just to access and upgrade the ram. And the screen is fkn 1440p with hdmi pass through which means even when the PC fails it still works as a standalone monitor with other devices. Apple fell the fuck off because this thing is a tank even today. $75 on eBay with shipping included btw

However, you might find out that Samsung has been spying on you through your TV with a 24/7 hot mic Creating intricate profiles that they can then sell to data brokers to spread even further until copies of your consciousness exist across the universe to be sold for pennies

Update all of your devices today. If it connects to the internet and there’s no update for it and you don’t know how to patch it, turn it off forever or throw it away. Do not use public WiFi to access anything sensitive. Welcome to the show. emudhra.we-have-a-problem.co…

My recommendation is to be a dork and just get one of these if you *must* use public WiFi for whatever reason

On the flip side, you can now MITM the shit out of your own devices and see what weird info companies have been collecting on you. Pros & cons!

It brings me a simplistic sense of peace to know that a sure fire way to get engagement online is getting a small detail wrong about a niche interest. They will come out of the woodwork to correct you

Let me put it another way: Yall need to lower your damn standards. Hard truth is you’re probably kind of a piece of shit in some way (or multiple ways!). And your job is to find someone who is also a piece of shit but in complimentary ways, and then work together towards not being pieces of shit. At this point I think the only thing you really need in a relationship to make it work is shared goals. If you’re both looking at the same point in the distance and heading towards it you can genuinely work through everything else. Source: taken for ~9 years, happily married, children, etc
My boyfriend thinks the big problem with modern dating is that men used to merely have to demonstrate solid long-term potential to be considered. Now, a guy can't get his foot in the door without having short-term dating skills. He's not complaining, mind you. He purposely developed those short-term dating skills & they worked on me 😂 But he has a great point: there are men who are AMAZING long-term options who aren't even noticed by women because they never developed the traits that make a woman notice them immediately!
