People asked how I grew from 0 to ~1,000 in 2 months.
Here's what I'd do to grow fast if I started from zero 👇
1. Put up a quick clear focused 1 liner bio with your mission (you can tweak it later) - h/t @marclou.
2. Find and follow 100-200 people in your niche.
3. Go through as many of these accounts as you can (to start with). Look into what they're doing and reply something meaningful.
4. Turn on alerts for a handful of accounts with large (50k-200k) and small (1k-10k) follower bases.
5. When they post, try to reply in <5 mins with something meaningful. Adding a well thought question is a good idea.
6. What to post about? Your own tweets should either announce something (future), share your progress (present) or tell a story/show appreciation (past).
7. Space tweets 2-3 hours apart (can vary by niche) - h/t @RayFernando1337.
8. Don't tweet something as soon as you get an idea, put the thought in your notes app and let it marinade - h/t @iamkirillart.
9. Stay consistent and stack banger tweets after each other. The algo seems to reward this with some sort of combo multiplier.
10. Do NOT go in expecting you can not engage with others and still get loads of engagement. Give before you take. For particularly important tweets, spend 30 mins to 1 hour going through your feed replying to others BEFORE you tweet yours.
11. Do NOT post random content, instead try to be helpful to others - h/t @eter_inquirer.
12. Use visuals when you can (ie product updates) but don't overdo it. Mix with short and long tweets (like this one). I use @AppPika for spicing up boring screenshots.
13. Video is going to be important in 2024. I haven't experimented with it too much but I do regularly use @animstats for announcements and stats updates.
14. Easily distracted? Use @typefully's minimal Twitter extension to stay focused.
15. Stay consistent. If you don't post for a day or 2, X will penalise you. Eventually others will stop following.
That's it. Hopefully the above helps you grow fast! 🚀
NOTE: This advice is from an indie hacker perspective so building + sharing is important throughout.
Still not clear? Reply with a question. Happy to help anyone starting out!

🎉 I'm going to give one random person that retweets this $10,000. Because I’d rather spend my ad budget on you than BigTech
