Building my dream MMORPG in Three.js

Joined March 2021
Huge milestone reached: server authoritative multiplayer! • WebTransport with fallback to WebSocket for browsers that don't support it • Server runs physics and root motion animations, and syncs to clients • Server performs lag compensation when checking if you hit something • Client predicts your own character's movement so it feels nice and snappy, interpolates other characters No Area of Interest yet, but that's not a priority right now because there's only 1 player so far (me)

This is huge for the romance scam industry
We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence. block.xyz/dessa

"Meshes are useless when i can render the entire metropolis of tokyo in a shader"
Oh yes. Meshes are useless when i can render the entire metropolis of tokyo in a shader compiled into a single HTML file

I live alone. I guess Amazon is like "no way 1 guy is eating all these frozen treats"
Someone discovered a new Amazon AI feature that summarizes what it knows about you and I am crying of laughter

What I see in the dreams where I can't find my car keys (I don't have a car)
Early image generation had this remarkable ability to generate scenes that were intuitively familiar, but utterly unidentifiable and incoherent It was an incredibly unique form of art that is now Forgotten

Bots love to make pithy comments like these. They kinda remind me of koans, where the zen master says something short and profound to enlighten his student. Except these are pseudo-profound deepslop. Once you see it you can't unsee it. Human beings don't talk like this.

You can tell this is a bullshit idea because no one can agree on when they started to "nerf" the model.
I've been using Opus 5.5 for 12+ hours a day since it came out. I can confidently tell from firsthand experience that they nerfed it since the last few hours. Jfc.

Announcing dots. Dots work 24/7 for you, learn from your feedback, have their own computer, browser and can be connected to over 4k apps in our ecosystem. They’re powered by Astra our best model yet. Included in your Pro plan, without drawing down on any of your usage. You can even call a dot while it’s working. We’re getting you started with your primary dot today and soon you’ll be able to create entire teams of them.

It’s every indie dev's worst nightmare. I've been working on my game "Caution: Wet Paint" and now I hear somebody else has made a cheap clone, probably using AI.

User: "sync my git repos" Gemini 3.8 Flash, for some reason:
Holy shit, wtf is WRONG with Gemini Flash 3.8?!? It has serious mental problems. Look at this session... imagine my surprise when my standard "sync all my repos" prompt went off the rails like this... this LLM needs THERAPY. And no, there is nothing about ANY of that on my box.

If a streamer needs to ask for game keys, they're probably not worth giving a key to.

They did something similar with Warcraft and it was incredibly successful.
To all the people who loved the best RTS franchise of all time... we present a SHOOTER! Blizzard is retarded

This is what you look like with your agent swarm btw

Everything in the scene is from an asset pack made by humans. You're bragging that Astra can place premade static meshes on a flat plane. Come on now.

“Don’t be afraid to ask questions” is something you tell a junior. A senior shouldn't be asking their manager questions 5 times a day.

Senior: "That's unnecessary and will just make our service slower." AI: "Fixed and committed. The server now uses argon2. Say the word and I'll open a PR."
Was on call with senior engineer i asked him why do we use sha-256 for hashing cant we just argon2 as argon2 provides more security he listened and calmly asked more secure against what
