"Working software over comprehensive documentation"
It never ceases to amaze me how many devs I feel have interpreted this single line as
"Documentation is an absolute waste of time when I could be coding. And I can always be coding, so let me do just that."

I've been coding for 20+ years.
For the first 10 years, I thought automated tests were a waste of time.
Then, I dug in, practiced, and got good at testing.
Now, I test often. Tests catch a few mistakes every week.
Tests help me change code faster, with more confidence.

I’ve been running some simulations on what happens if the queue continues to grow and I’m afraid to say the predictions are… concerning.

I get stressed when the News pulls people from the queue to interview them, because I worry they'll lose their place and have to go to the back again.

Test-driven development IS SLOW.
For a couple of sprints.
Writing just the production code IS FAST.
For a couple of sprints.
