Happy to see a what’s app conversation brain storm come to fruition and our penetrating trauma aide-memoire out. Penetrating trauma in the pre-hospital space is all about key interventions, momentum to a trauma centre with most management on route.
Our crew have produced an aide-memoire to help ambulance paramedics manage the situation at the scene of a stabbing and get the patient on their way to hospital within five minutes of arriving. Paramedics can view the aide-memoire at: greatwesternairambulance.com…

As doctors, our long hours and intense workloads mean we are at risk of fatigue and sleep deprivation. For #WorldSleepDay, take a look at our guidance for doctors on this issue, and on your rights in the workplace. brnw.ch/21wHTAi

I don't want lower taxes. I want hospital beds. Trains that run on time. Kids who aren't too hungry to learn. Libraries in every town. Rivers that don't run with slurry. Local councils not forced into bankruptcy. Politicians who don't venally line their own pockets.

I don’t want tax cuts. I want urgent investment in critical front line public services. I want the govt to show that they care about something more than just clinging desperately onto power.

It’s quite tiring trying to hold the polite smile on my face while searching for the button to end the work video call. Facial muscles trembling as my expression fights to return to its normal grumpy state. It’s a real workout.

We're appealing for the public's help to find a missing 22-year-old man. Jack was last seen in the early hours of this morning on Hotwells Road in Bristol and we're concerned for his welfare. Please call 999 quoting 5224055172 if you see him.

We’re lobbying for Automatic Number Plate Recognition technology (ANPR) to be made mandatory, and printed on all drive-thru packaging. If your packaging is littered it’ll be cross-checked with DVLA records and you’ll be fined. We’re lovin’ it! 😂

To every patient in England. Your local GP surgery could soon disappear. That’s because of a clear govt decision to underfund & neglect us. You can see how hard it is now to get an NHS dentist - that’s just round the corner for you due to your politicians actions. Scary

Imagine being an unarmed officer pursuing an armed person who was attempting to reload their firearm having just discharged said weapon, these acts take remarkable courage, yet again officers putting themselves in grave danger, risking their lives to protect others 👏💙

I try not to comment with too many “absolutes” but intubation without immediate waveform capnography should be an absolute no go. If you can’t put waveform capnography in the field you shouldn’t be intubating.

Increasing fines for school non-attendance will penalise the vulnerable and push more families into not-really-elective home education. Attendance difficulties aren’t the problem themselves, they are the signal that there is a problem. You can’t solve those problems with fines.
Increase in amount parents pay for their child’s non attendance at school. During a cost of living crisis & post pandemic impact. Shake that money tree. 🤦🏻‍♀️ 1/ gov.uk/government/news/new-r…
