Civic duty day!
My wife and I spent last night with my daughters to go over all the ballot measures. Explained as a family we have core values but as individuals we have our own voice. That voting is an endorsement of policy and direction to strive for a future you want to see!
I’m team fridge by the way.
What’s been a mundane or banal conversation you never thought you’d end up happening with a spouse or friend?
Never in my life did I imagine that some of the most engaging conversations with my wife in adulthood would be a pros/cons debate on spending $1800 on a new fridge or…3 dump truck loads of fresh gravel for our driveway.
Sigh.
I had @Ford Lightning use Pro Power for our property: 80 hours; during which we’ve had nothing but rain, snow, clouds preventing solar. We hosted a Halloween party for our girls, with decorations and late night energy demands powered by the truck. 82% down to 29%, not too shabby.
It’s only 4:45?!

Robert and I are thrilled that our gift of over 2 million shares of SpaceX stock will be distributed to children’s Trump accounts in December!
Our initial gift (shares transferring to escrow as we speak) will go to 11 to 17-year-olds who live in zip codes with median family income (MFI) of $57,000 or less, and to those who live in zip codes with too few residents for an MFI to be reported in the census. These families should receive a notice by Monday.
In a few weeks, an additional gift will be finalized for eligible 11 to 17-year-old children in military families serving overseas, children in foster care, and more children whose MFI is $90,000 or less living in counties near our home in the great state of Texas.
Thank you to the incredible team @SpaceX, @Treasury, @IRS, @DellFdn, @GreaterHorizons, @InvestAmerica24, and the legal firms of Morgan Lewis and Gibson Dunn for working over the past few months to make this happen.
We are deeply grateful for the groundbreaking work that Brad Gerstner @altcap and @MichaelDell have done for the long-term financial security for millions of kids.

Terrible news in our community. A colleague of mine lost her husband and two boys in a small plane crash near the West Elks. Kindest sweetest woman I had the opportunity to teach with just had the worst happen to her. My girls knew her boys well. Hold onto your loved ones.
Years later, without fail, as a family we sit down to a cozy fire on a rainy October evening and get inspired by @realhomerhickam Rocket Boy story in the film October Sky.
Now my girls are high schoolers and dreaming of their futures!

I had a way too noticeable chunk of money deposit into my checking account from the IRS labeled tax refund this morning.
Bigger than any refund I’ve ever gotten.
This clearly has to be an error.

I find something as fundamental to an EV experience such as charger navigation and pre conditioning to be a baked in standard and not a paid feature.

After dinner (bacon potato soup!) it was time to refill the wood ring with the @Ford Lightning then pro power for home electricity.
Our only source of heat is our trusty woodstove.
The room becomes the epicenter for our family as we all draw in to its warmth. 😂
@rossiadam @rhensing a great way to build in family time with the teens: gotta cut wood in the summer; in the winter we all want to be in the same space 😂 presto family time!
