Women’s Aid's @Teresa_PS spoke to Cosmopolitan about the rise in domestic abuse reports after major football matches. While football doesn't cause abuse, it can exacerbate it where it exists. Learn how football can raise awareness and challenge attitudes: ow.ly/5GTt50Sw34e
For some women, the most dangerous part of the football starts after the final whistle

This Mother’s Day / International Women’s Day weekend, my thoughts are with the Women of Palestine. There isn’t enough space here to outline the horrors they are enduring, if they have been spared. This new piece was inspired by an old photo (more in next post)… #CeasefireNOW

Palestine Ambassador addressing @irishcongress Women’s Conference. 70% of the dead are women and children. 2 mothers killed every hour. 17,000 children have been orphaned. Decimation of the health care system is having a devastating impact on pregnant women. #CeasefieNow

Today I turn 50, I have thought about this and what it means and I realise I am proud to turn 50 as age is a privilege not afforded to all! I hope the path I have trod and will tread in this world does some good and leaves some love. #ageisaprivilege

With teachers on picket line today to confirm @allianceparty support for strike. Education system is in crisis - urgently need an Education Minister and Exec to address teacher pay, school budgets, SEN and school maintenance. With no Exec, we can do nothing about these issues

Ahead of industrial action in schools in NI this week, a reminder of the scandalous disparity in teachers' pay across the UK and Ireland. Salaries have fallen by 16% in real terms over the last 4 years; new teachers in Scotland and the Republic earn around 60% more.

The Director of the UN's New York office just resigned after thirty years at the organisation over the UN's handling of the ongoing genocide of Palestinians. The entirety of his resignation letter is a necessary read but this first page blew me away.
