"I actually think Mississippi is a blue state that needs to be organized."
Last week, our @jmart talked with Raphael Warnock about why he's trying to get Democrats to pay more attention to the South. Currently, Democratic candidate Scott Colom leads the Mississippi Senate race by just over 2,000 votes.

This week we proved what is possible when we raise our voices together.
In so many ways, you made history, Georgia.
Be proud and stay in the fight. Let's get to work.

They always try to say weāre āuninformed votersā. They donāt understand we have praying Grandmothers. They know all the Tea. From their Special Young Men in Iowa to their Sher-Rodās in Ohio, to āOle Boys Sister in SCā to their very Special Hispanic Girl in Texas, to Keisha in Ga.

I donāt know how many people noticed, but every single thing that Warnock mentioned about the Deep South during this cycle happened. He was one of the only people who clearly saw such a dramatic shift happening. They actually laughed when he said this.
Sen. Raphael Warnock told donors in April that Democrats are "sleeping" on Mississippi to some laughs, per recordings of event. His argument to invest in the race was that Democrats' "ceiling is too low ... our ceiling is 52. That's terrible. Part of the way to fix that is the South"
"I think we can win in Mississippi if the conditions are just right"
Colom currently leads by ... 65 votes

Good morning from Mississippi! Our lead continues to grow, and we're now up by roughly 1,100 votes! We're confident Scott's lead will continue to grow as the remaining votes are counted. We're staying focused and protecting the integrity of our election.

Look at the margin in Mississippi. This race will come down to a literal handful of votes.
Donāt let anyone ever tell you your vote doesnāt count.
I remember in 2020, I kept telling other staff in the Senate that Warnock & Ossoff were going to win in Georgia.
They universally (a) thought I didnāt know what I was talking about or (b) thought I was joking and literally laughed in my face. Then, we won. (1/3)

This year was Déjà vu. Senator Warnock kept pushing the party hard to invest in Mississippi and even went down to campaign for Colom when few others did. Same reactions as 2020. (2/3)
