The dawgs @peytongoure @CarsonKlingman @Trayton_Acosta getting some love in the video! Shout out to the whole squad last night. Can’t wait for the fans to see the final product 🤐
Overall I am glad to have taken RGCM this semester. There were many current events that were relevant to the class discussions/ assignments which helped me understand and interpret the issues in diversity and inclusion today. #rgcmtalkback21
While I’m not a huge fan of tweeting (or posting on social media at all), this was a great assignment to increase my engagement on issues in race, gender, and class in the media. #rgcmtalkback21
I found the first diversity interview related to Dr. C’s 5th rule of diversity engagement: “Just because you haven’t experienced it, does not mean it isn’t real.” #rgcmtalkback21
Congratulations to @OU_Softball on being Big 12 regular season champs for nine years in a row! #BoomerSooner #rgcmtalkback21
The title for my final essay was “More Than Just an Education.” While I appreciate the opportunities I’ve learned in class, I reflected on the experience college has given me to learn more about diversity and inclusion. #rgcmtalkback21
Replying to @kristyp_wheat
@kristyp_wheat I liked how you used cultivation theory in your research presentation. Your overall analysis was very interesting as well, I’ll have to watch Bridgerton now!
I can relate our Tweet requirements to Dr. C’s first diversity rule of engagement. We are the starting point for making inclusion work, not the other way around #rgcmtalkback21
Our social media discussion made me think of the book “Brave New World” by Aldous Huxley. It made me think if we could ever be too connected when it comes to social media. #rgcmtalkback21
For my research project, I compared both men’s and women’s 2021 NCAA basketball tournaments. Please feel free to check out my presentation and reply if you have any questions or comments! #rgcmtalkback21
I recently read an article that mentioned the ratings for the NCAA Women’s basketball tournament were up this year while the Men’s tournament was down. Unfortunately the Men’s championship game still had around 13 million more viewers than the Women’s. #rgcmtalkback21
I decided to play “Lego Star Wars” for our diversity in gaming discussion. It was interesting to find ties between the game and inclusion of various characters to complete the goals in each level. #rgcmtalkback21
One of the more interesting topics in my second diversity interview was learning how my family’s values on gender roles changed after each generation. #rgcmtalkback21
I found my second diversity interview with a family member to be just as interesting as the first one. Learning new things about my family history helped me see the impact of media on each newer generation. #rgcmtalkback20
I featured Ant-Man in our superhero discussion. Not only is he unique that he doesn’t have any special “powers,” but his flawed anti-hero personality goes against the classic superhero mold. #rgcmtalkback20
Just saw that the “1619 Project” is coming to Hulu as a docuseries. I found an article if anyone is interested in checking it out. google.com/amp/s/deadline.co…

It’s the carpet for me...
Since we’re on the subject.....
Here are the venues for the @NCAADII MEN’S Elite 8 vs WOMEN’S Elite 8 Tournament.
This takes the weightroom discrepancy to an entirely different level... #EquityMatters #EnoughIsEnough
I’ve had the opportunity to help record multiple interviews for OU’s office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Every interview has been great to be a part of in understanding Norman’s history involving race, diversity, and other important topics. #rgcmtalkback20
With a lot of class discussion involving gender in sports, I’d like to shoutout @OU_Softball for their 17-0 start to the season! #rgcmtalkback20
