Hello @GovKathyHochul @NewYorkStateAG,
Have you heard about this story at @Cornell? This is mind blowing behavior by the suspects. If true, the full weight of the N.Y. criminal justice system should be brought to bear.

1/4 In 2022, disability advocates were alarmed to hear that MTA was considering allowing strollers in the accessible seating area, a space that they had fought long and hard for and still couldn't reliably access. gothamist.com/news/baby-on-b…
3/4 People scoffed at needing a working group to figure out a solution to such a basic problem, but getting all the stakeholders together helped the MTA avoid a policy change that could lead to litigation and realize the only solution to the stroller problem was more space.
"Why is it so difficult to accurately monitor the movement (or non-movement) of about 350 elevators that only travel a few feet up and down?" Exactly!
My only note: 161/493, including SIRR. When you factor in stations out for capital replacement, it's still <30% accessible.

I got the detailed exclusive on why @NYCComptroller thinks @NYCDisabilities needs some serious help with aiding disabled New Yorkers to get employed: ablenews.com/audit_urges_str…
New Yorkers with disabilities deserve equal access to meaningful work. A new review shows ATWORK is making a difference but it’s limited: 📊In FY24 and FY25, the city-run program served 1,268 job seekers and placed 99 in jobs. 📉That’s just 4% of the estimated 35,000 New Yorkers with disabilities seeking employment. The report calls for more funding, better tracking, and fewer barriers. To read the report: tr.ee/RYT925
After more than 9 years since the case was filed by @dralegal, and nearly 2 years of monthly protests by plaintiffs and allies like @CID_NY, @BCID_Change, @DIA_NewYork, and @riseandresistny, I'm glad to finally see a resolution to this lawsuit. thecityreporter.nyc/2026/07/…
Important story by @JournAlvarez about the City's disability employment program.

I want to keep delivering hard-hitting stories for each and every single one of you in the disabled community but I need your help in finding the right candidate for my nursing hiring call to deliver these results. Open to both RN/LPN linkedin.com/jobs/view/44407…
Andy Byford installed the readers in 2019? As a regular bus rider, I can say with confidence that forcing people to board at the front does nothing to prevent fare evasion. It does prevent people who board in the back (because of crowding in the front) from paying.

I miss the interior design of the Enhanced Station Initiative era stations. The updated lighting and signage were extremely effective.
What can happen in 55 hours?
During a planned weekend outage, New York City Transit crews gave the 18 St station on the 1 line the Station REVIVE treatment, repainting nearly 30,000 square feet, refinishing benches, replacing stairs, clearing drainage, and replacing hundreds of square feet of wall and floor tile.
Station REVIVE makes the most of planned outages already needed for infrastructure work, allowing crews to refresh stations while minimizing additional impacts to riders.
The next planned outage at your station could bring more than track work.
This is a problem folks. We have to fix this. @NYCDisabilities
This is egregious, @NYC_DOT

People will literally die in agony because of this. These people are monsters.
Trump froze Medicare enrollments for home health and hospice providers — immediately, no warning.
Seniors and disabled Americans needing care at home are now blocked from getting it.
They call it “anti-fraud.”
We call it what it is: abandonment.
