The idiots known as “FIRE JBB” people are not going to like this one.
The Kucherov thing. The reported offer of $15M from #GoBolts would give a 34 yr old Kucherov ~$9.04M take home next year, second highest behind Makar's new deal. Kuch says it’s respect, not money. Approx matching offers for same take home below.

This was immediately obvious to those who pay attention. It was never a trade request. He was just being straight up with the team and giving them the option as soon as he recognized there was no chance he’s resigns with them.
Chris Johnston: Re Nikita Kucherov: There’s a real sense at this point of time that this is going to be...an offseason...move; it was framed as a trade request; it really was more of, we’re not going to re-sign...we’re done talking about...an extension - Early Trading (11/5)

Here are two reasons why I think Nikita Kucherov will end up re-signing with the Bolts. Could be wrong...hope I'm not.
“Nikita Kucherov, Calm In Chaos” OUT NOW⚡️⬇️ One question from the podcast I’ll ask all of you: 0-10, how likely is it Kucherov is a Bolt for the 2027-28 season & beyond? 0=He’s gone 10=He’s signing Where are you at?! youtu.be/xjuIYiSpYZY?is=PELP…

Yeah buddy, how’s the coyotes doing this season. Fuck off.
Tampa peeps, if we drop these today, who is down to order up?

It was the “first home game” of the year, Greg.
“You could really feel the crowd,” Todd Bowles said of Sunday’s win, appreciative of fans sticking around through so much rain during the game.

Why is Kuch’s agent still talking? This is probably why JBB only talked to him twice in 4 months because he’s busy yapping on twitter the whole time

Such a cheap play. Lol “Put a jersey on!” is a great chirp though.
LEGENDARY: #Buccaneers Warren Sapp got into a HEATED confrontation with #Packers coach Mike Sherman after a devastating hit on Chad Clifton in 2002. Sherman confronted Sapp after the game, and Sapp repeatedly yelled: “PUT A JERSEY ON!” All-timer 😭😭😭

Zyon McCollum is having a standout year holding receivers in check. Quarterbacks are rarely targeting his side of the field. He has allowed the fourth-fewest receiving yards per snap with a minimum of 30 defensive targets (0.66). Lockdown. Phasing routes with patience.

Doing some research on NHL players to receive multi-year extensions when 34+ years old...and it confirms that the Tampa Bay Lightning had a very logical stance on the AAV for Nikita Kucherov. For example, when Ovechkin signed his extension with the Caps triggering in 2021, he took up ~12% of the salary cap. 12% of the cap next year is ~13.6 AAV (First reported offer was 13x4...which reportedly changed to 15x4 after the crazy offseason) In 2025, Crosby took up ~9% of cap Stone will take up ~8% of cap next year Malkin ~7.5% of cap in 2022 Marchand 5.5% of cap last year The issue remains, and always will be, how JBB went about these discussions (unless he genuinely never wanted to resign Kuch. His actions lead me to believe that could be the case because otherwise...yikes) Just food for thought. #GoBolts

Bedard - $15m Carlsson - $18.8m Danilo - $13.75m Mcdavid (and Byram) - $12.5m What do these guys all have in common besides having horrible contracts?
Dan Milstein - DFO Insider - Kucherov | So I've seen, we've seen the contracts that are coming in at $15 million, $18.8 million, 13.75, 12 and a half, and so on, right? And then you have Nikita Kucherov, who consistently, year after year, has scored 2 or 3 times, 4 times, 5 times more production than any of those other guys. How do you tell a star player that he should be making less than some of the other guys? - 11/4 #GoBolts #NHL

So just to recap: -Tampa makes multiple offers before the season that would pay him more than MacKinnon and McDavid while still leaving space to build a competitor -requests trade -apparently won’t sign an extension anywhere until July 1 Nice.
