We focused hard on maximizing accuracy and expressive capability on dashboards. Ask Claude to make a dashboard that tells a story and tell me what you think!
Claude now works inside Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and those files also open inside Claude.
In Google Workspace, Claude sits in a sidebar next to your file, reads what you have open, and edits it in place. You can approve each edit before it lands.
Today, we are merging Claude Cowork and chat to simplify how you use Claude!
We are also integrating Claude Design so that you can ask Claude to make a Slide, Design, or Doc without needing to switch tabs or apps.
Many of you shared that you didn't want to choose which Claude product to use for any task. As Claude models have become more capable, we've found that Claude can handle the routing for you. Based on your prompt, Claude will decide whether to give a quick answer or do deeper agentic work, and what kind of output best fits the task.
You're in control the whole time: you can still stop, redirect, or exert finer control over Claude's effort or approach.
Give it a try and let us know what you think. We're rolling this out slowly over the next few weeks to get it right.

As a result of a US government directive, we are suspending access to Claude Fable 5 for all users. You can continue to use all other Claude models.
Here’s what this means for you:
Across Claude products, new sessions will run on your selected default model or Opus 4.8, and existing Fable 5 sessions will end with an error.
On the Claude Platform, requests to Fable 5 will also return an error. Please update your integrations to other Claude models.
We know this is a disruption to your workflows; we appreciate your patience and support.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

TL;DR - guy thinks he hacked Perplexity.
Perplexity responds with "lol, no our billing is just async. check your inbox."
Guy finds his bill: *shocked pikachu*

This security audit is factually inaccurate.
It does not provide any network information regarding the "arbitrary ip" used to access the proxy token outside of the perplexity computer interface.
Denis Yarats confirmed the token is not hidden by choice of the service provider.

This isn’t accurate. The secure sandbox of Perplexity Computer creates a temporary proxy token for every user session.
We choose not to hide it from the user because it’s their token. (They can do whatever they want with it, but I don’t recommend posting it on X)
It’s not an API key, it’s a short-lived proxy token associated with the session and user. It’s located in the sandbox, because that’s the point of the sandbox.
Anything run through it is billed back to your account. Billing is async, which may have caused this user’s confusion.
Don’t worry, as soon as we saw this post we ensured this user’s session token was revoked for security.
The session he describes generated 197 billing events. We shared billing details with him directly but can’t publicly. (Billing is done at the proxy, and every cost is attached to the proxy token.)
Thank you @yousifa for creative security research and collaborative spirit.
Everyone else - email is a slow way to reach us! We have a thriving VDP that helps keep all of our products secure. perplexity.ai/hub/security-v…

Not just for skills. If you’ve got a lot of non sensitive data, provision an isolated replica, tell the agent to explore the tables first, and watch it rip.
give your agents a db, not just a file system

Perplexity just announced a partnership with @Plaid to allow people to bring their own investment portfolios into Perplexity Computer.
Here’s the one and only @jeffgrimes9 announcing it.
one of the best parts of @perplexity_ai finance is that we manage all of the data integrations for you. We've integrated with myriad, high-quality providers to ensure accurate data and clear audibility traces. In DR all numbers (and derivative calculations) are traceable back to source documents. Not something a simple MCP connector can do for you.
There's a lot of back and forth re: future of Excel. I'll share my thoughts on this for investing later, but for now can share:
Our finance team's use of spreadsheets have likely dropped by 60%+ by simply asking Computer on Slack. No more manual csv imports or data pulling.
Replying to @perplexity_ai
We are also bringing Computer to Slack.
When we first tested Computer internally, it was as a Slack integration. We found it was a powerful way to share and collaborate on tasks.
Now you can add Computer to any channel or DM.
