We thank everyone for doing what they can to support the people of Ukraine during this awful and heartbreaking time for them.
We’ve set up a webpage which details some of the local and national ways you can provide support if you want to.

Well done to 11 year old Harry, who took on the challenge of virtually cycling 100k in an incredible time of just over 4 hours!
A huge thank you to Harry for his amazing efforts in supporting children and young people living with epilepsy.

I have been thrown out of Parliament for saying what we all know:
Boris Johnson has lied to the House of Commons and the country over and over again.
But I’ve got news for the Tories, I will never stop speaking truth to power!

If you are sat in a Labour Party meeting today doing the run down of what’s gone wrong and your conclusion is ‘we haven’t changed quickly enough’ ‘be more like 1997’ then get ready for even worse next General Election. It is not the 90’s. Needs have changed! Tories have changed

The Government has listened to Labour and extended support for self-isolation to parents of self-isolating children.
This is good - but it's not good enough. It should expand support for anyone without workplace sick pay- or risk the much higher cost of more restrictions.

£800 fines for house parties. Police threatening people sitting in cars. Daily threats from Ministers. Yet not a single employer prosecuted for making people work in unsafe workpaces. The “blame the people” narrative advances #COVID19

Extremely concerned by the quarantine and travel restriction policy in the UK - which is not based on evidence - and *still* doesn't go far enough, despite the really concerning new variants that are circulating in many parts of the world. Brief thread.

If true, this is seriously concerning. Using lateral flow tests as a replacement for isolation of contacts is negligent. This goes against current CDC recommendations as to how these tests should be used, as well as the MHRA, which has rejected them being used for this purpose.🧵
The Department for Education has confirmed mass testing in schools – including the roll out to primary school staff next week – will continue as planned after denying reports the programme had not been formally approved by the regulator

COVID-19 contact tracing is taking place in #Wiltshire, alongside national contact tracing.
If called by 0300 456 0100, please pick up, as this will be a contact tracer looking to pass on info, as well as establish any close contacts of the positive cases.

Great that mass testing is being introduced but £100 billion ie more than the ENTIRE NHS budget, all paid to private sector companies? Why is the expertise in NHS labs being ignored & duplicated by firms whose primary purpose is shareholders’ profits? 🤔 bmj.com/content/370/bmj.m352…

The River Kennet is a chalk stream some of the rarest river habitat in the world.
It rises in Wiltshire near Silbury and Avebury yet by the time it reaches Marlborough just 10 miles later it is already polluted.
In 2019 @Thameswater spent 1,636 hours dumping sewage into it.
