how I wish self ownership existed onchain, not money but social life. ----------> @XLayerOfficial i wish the same feeling of ownership we already have with money also existed for the rest of people’s digital lives. with crypto, if you hold Bitcoin or stablecoins in your own wallet, the money is actually yours. no company can freeze it or decide you can’t use it. you control it. @TapeOutWorld i wish that same simple ownership applied to other things: ▪️the posts and photos you create ▪️the audience you spend years building ▪️tickets, certificates, or digital items you buy ▪️proof of work you’ve done or things you own presently, those mostly still live on someone else’s platform. they can change the rules, limit your reach, remove access. i wish they worked more like the money already does, something you hold yourself, can move if you want, and no single company fully controls.

building, Carry by @TapeOutWorld would close it in a simple way. you store the digital things that matter to you ---- a work proof, a certificate, a ticket, a post and they stay tied to your wallet. you can show them, move them, or keep them even if the original site disappears. the app itself would run onchain so the tool holding your records isn’t controlled by another company either. money already feels like yours when you hold it yourself. Carry would try to make a few other everyday things feel the same. @XLayerOfficial

some influencers make it exhausting to be a designer, and honestly, it’s becoming a concern for the industry. you post a campaign asking designers to redesign an AI-generated image. designers put in their time, creativity, and skills to come up with something better. they submit their work, hoping to win the promised reward and get some recognition. then you show up in the comments, complaining about almost every submission. at the end of the day, nobody gets chosen. so, what was the point of the campaign in the first place? are all the designers suddenly bad at their jobs, or was the campaign just another way to farm engagement without any real intention of rewarding anyone? this reminds me of the Roobet campaign posted by @DylanGG, where $250 was the promised reward, yet, as I understand it, no designer ended up receiving it. that's not just disappointing. It sends the wrong message to an entire creative industry. design is work. creativity takes time. and behind every submission is someone investing their skills, energy, and valuable hours. if you don't intend to reward the work, don't use a design competition to attract engagement. and if none of the submissions meets your expectations, communicate clearly, provide constructive feedback, and be transparent about what happens next. designers deserve more than empty promises and exposure. I hope we get to a point where designers are given the proper platforms, respect, and recognition they deserve. designers, have you ever participated in a campaign where the promised reward never materialized? and influencers, do you think these campaigns genuinely support designers, or are some people simply exploiting their creativity for engagement?
