Dear @INCKerala this is NOT contempt of court. This false prosecution is itself a travesty of justice. I hope you have strong legal team to fight this tooth and nail. Enough is enough. Sending you strength.
Supreme Court hears contempt case against Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee over a social media post against CJI Surya Kant The controversial post against the CJI appeared on the official X handle of Congress Kerala on October 12. It read, "Dear Surya Kant, If law and order is not your domain, resign now. We will find your replacement who can handle it." Bench: Justices Aravind Kumar and Vipul M Pancholi

For years I kept these memories to myself. Some were too painful to speak of, others too precious. In Belonging, I have finally written them down. My conversation with @guardian ↓ theguardian.com/world/2026/n… theguardian.com/world/2026/n…

Sixty years in public life, and still the same person. Proud of you, Ma. ❤️ "The values that I learnt growing up survive. I have tried my best to be true to them: loyalty to family and friends, sincerity and feeling for others, the idea of being dutiful and responsible. I think I can say that in these I am the same person Rajiv met sixty years ago." - CPP Chairperson @SoniaGandhi Read her interview with The Hindu about her upcoming book, Belonging: A Journey of Love. thehindu.com/news/national/s…

Most people do not understand the difference between a statue & an idol. Both are entirely different. A freshly painted statue of a hindu diety is NOT an idol until rituals are performed for it to literally embody that deity. Then it becomes an idol!Catholics do not have idols.

When India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) strongly condemned the deadly attack on a Greek Orthodox church in Jordan’s Karak region on October 23, which killed seven people and injured 34 others, every Indian citizen agreed. It was undoubtedly the right thing to do. This is the India we believe in, the kind we wish to see, and the kind everyone hopes for. While condemning the gruesome attack, the MEA described it as a “heinous” and “cowardly” act. However, this strong condemnation also highlighted the double standards that every Indian Christian felt at that moment. We have a voice and tears for a church located in another country, 4,000 km away. But we have never uttered a single word for Christians being attacked and humiliated, or for churches being burnt across our own country. Flagging concerns and highlighting issues is neither an act of defaming my country nor an expression of animosity. It is about exposing a dangerous hypocrisy that is hollowing out our country’s constitutional soul like termites and costing it moral credibility abroad. We dream of becoming Vishwaguru and advising the world on tolerance and peace, but ignore the fact that the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), in its 2025 report, recommended that the US Department of State designate India as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC) “for its toleration of systematic, ongoing, egregious religious freedom violations”. 1/n As a student of history, I want to set the record straight on the false claims made by @nishikant_dubey. The claims made by Dubey contain significant historical inaccuracies regarding the Partition of India, the princely state of Tripura, the demarcation of Bengal and Assam, and the individuals involved in the 1947 Sylhet Referendum. (a) Chittagong, Noakhali, and Sylhet Were Never Part of Tripura :- The historical status is that Chittagong and Noakhali were never administrative territories of the Princely State of Tripura (known historically as Hill Tippera). They were distinct British-administered districts of Bengal Province. (b) While the Manikya Maharajas of Tripura held private zamindari estates (Chakla Roshnabad) in the British plains of Tippera (now Comilla), Noakhali, and Sylhet, these were private landholdings subject to British revenue administration, not sovereign territory of the Tripura princely state. (c) W.r.t accession, when Maharani Kanchan Prabha Devi (regent for minor Maharaja Kirit Bikram Kishore Manikya) signed the Instrument of Accession in August 1947 (and later the Tripura Merger Agreement in 1949), Tripura acceded strictly with its own princely boundaries. India did not "hand over" Tripura’s sovereign land to Pakistan. (d) The Demarcation of Chittagong, Noakhali, and Sylhet Was Not Decided by Nehru (i)Noakhali:-According to the 1941 Census of British India, Noakhali was overwhelmingly Muslim-majority (over 81% Muslim), not Hindu-majority. Under the core partition formula accepted by the British, the Congress, and the Muslim League, Muslim-majority contiguous districts of Bengal went to East Bengal (Pakistan). (ii)Chittagong Port & Hill Tracts(CHT):- Chittagong district had a clear Muslim majority (over 74%). The Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) were predominantly non-Muslim (indigenous Buddhist and Hindu populations), but Sir Cyril Radcliffe awarded CHT to Pakistan on the grounds that it was geographically contiguous to Chittagong port and lacked viable economic and infrastructural connections to India. Indian leaders including Nehru and Patel vigorously protested this award, but the boundary was drawn unilaterally by the British Boundary Commission. (iii) Sylhet:- Sylhet was a Muslim-majority district (61% Muslim in 1941) transferred to Assam in 1874 by the colonial administration. Because it was attached to Hindu-majority Assam, the British 3rd June Plan mandated a popular referendum to determine whether Sylhet would remain with Assam (India) or join East Bengal (Pakistan). There is factual inaccuracy about who conducted the Sylhet Referendum The 1947 Sylhet Referendum was administered by the British Indian Government. The official Referendum Commissioner was a British ICS officer, H. C. Stork (alongside military peacekeeping overseen by Brigadier Mohinder Singh Chopra). Justice Baharul Islam (1918–1993) did not conduct the Sylhet referendum. While his later political-to-judicial transitions (from Congress Rajya Sabha MP to High Court and Supreme Court judge, and back to politics) drew significant legal and public debate in the 1970s and 1980s, attributing the colonial-era referendum's administration or the leadership of a "Muslim League Red Army" in Noakhali to him contradicts official administrative records.
#WATCH | Delhi: BJP MP Nishikant Dubey says, "Nehru ji wanted to become Prime Minister by any means. When the King of Tripura, or the Maharani, decided in 1948 that they wanted to remain with India, and there was a year-long struggle in Tripura between 1947 and 1948, how could you hand over its territories, including the Hindu-majority areas of Chittagong, Noakhali and Sylhet, to Pakistan, which is now Bangladesh? Who gave you this right?..." "And the person who conducted the Sylhet referendum, do you know Baharul Islam? The Congress made him a Rajya Sabha member. After he left the Rajya Sabha, he was appointed a High Court judge. After retiring as a High Court judge, he was appointed a Supreme Court judge. After retiring from the Supreme Court, the Congress again made him a Rajya Sabha member. That Baharul Islam was a member of the Muslim League Red Army, which was involved in the Noakhali massacre and played a major role in securing Chittagong and conducting the Sylhet referendum... Now is the time to correct history. Just as Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is under Pakistan's control and the time has come to reclaim it, the time has also come to reclaim Chittagong Port, Sylhet and Noakhali in the Northeast.”

Problem with India is not the government or a broken apathetic system. The problem is it's people and their culture. Govt and system are mere reflection of its people and culture. Truth is bitter.
Have some shame and dignity, people.

Chup kar ja jhutta! Manipur pe aag q nahi bujha pichhle 4 salon se pehle ye bata... @grok - Noakhali, Chittagong, and Sylhet were not sovereign territory of the princely state of Tripura (Hill Tippera). They were British-administered districts of Bengal Province (Sylhet was part of Assam Province). The Manikya rulers of Tripura held private zamindari estates known as Chakla Roshnabad in parts of the Tippera (Comilla), Noakhali, and Sylhet plains. These were revenue-paying estates under British administration, not part of the princely state’s sovereign hill territory. Tripura acceded to India with its own boundaries via the Instrument of Accession (signed by Maharani Kanchan Prabha Devi as regent in 1947; full merger in 1949). India did not “hand over” Tripura’s sovereign land to Pakistan. - The areas were not Hindu-majority, and partition followed the agreed demographic principle. Per the 1941 Census of India, Noakhali was overwhelmingly Muslim-majority (roughly 81–82%). Chittagong district was also Muslim-majority (around 74%). Sylhet was Muslim-majority (around 60–61%) and was attached to Assam; the 3 June Plan therefore required a referendum (held 6–7 July 1947 under British Referendum Commissioner H.C. Stork). A majority voted for East Bengal/Pakistan. The Radcliffe Commission later adjusted the border, retaining some thanas (mainly in Karimganj) for India to preserve connectivity. Boundaries were drawn by the British-led Radcliffe Boundary Commission on the basis of contiguous majority areas of Muslims and non-Muslims (plus other factors), not by a unilateral decision of Nehru to transfer Tripura land. Indian leaders, including Nehru and Patel, protested certain awards (notably the Chittagong Hill Tracts, which were non-Muslim majority but awarded to Pakistan for contiguity with Chittagong port). - On the Noakhali violence and related claims: Serious communal violence targeting Hindus did occur in Noakhali and adjacent Tippera areas in October–November 1946 (following the Great Calcutta Killings), involving killings, forced conversions, abductions, and destruction of property. Official contemporary British and administrative estimates of deaths were in the low hundreds (early verified figures under 200–300; later official tallies around 445 for the relevant period). Higher contemporary reports and some later accounts cited figures in the thousands, but the specific claim of around 10,000 Hindus killed in a single day is substantially higher than the documented historical estimates. Nehru’s government formation and priorities in late 1946 are a separate political critique; the territorial outcome for these districts followed the majority principle and Radcliffe process rather than a special “handing over” linked to the Tripura accession. The loss of sea access via Chittagong is a real long-term geographic and economic constraint for India’s Northeast (and for Tripura specifically). It is a consequence of the partition of Bengal along demographic lines, not the transfer of Tripura’s princely territory. Bhanji ka Mamu Dubey ji's laims linking these specific districts as “forcibly handed over” parts of the Tipra Kingdom by Nehru do not align with the administrative status of the areas in 1947 or the mechanics of the Radcliffe Award and Sylhet referendum.

It’s interesting to observe that the secular and celebrated French Revolution killed more in 10 years than the religious and infamous Spanish Inquisition did in 356 years by a ratio of about 75:1.
More women were killed during the French Revolution just for being religious in 3 years (hundreds of them) than all the Spanish Inquisition's witchcraft trials in 300 years (6).
